A unique conversation with Isabelle Sciamma and Paolo Ferrarini "Discovering and telling the new narrative, alternative paths in fashion publishing.”
November 29th Paolo Ferrarini, Lecturer, Author and Member of our Communication Scientific Committee together with Isabelle Sciamma, Author Louis Vuitton City Guide - Rome, Brand Developer Chez Dede and Fashion Editor Agence France-Presse, together participated in an interesting a talk on our Rome campus.
Starting from her degree in journalism up to her work for the Louis Vuitton City Guide and her advisory projects, Isabelle talked about how the paths in fashion publishing are varied and often quite surprising. Isabelle arrived in Rome ten years ago and started working in a gallery of contemporary art. There she had the chance to meet eclectic people that help her shaped her career and her knowledge of the eternal city and its inhabitants.
She found solidarity and help inside this world that made her feel in love even more with Rome starting to walk around to find the perfect spots to shop, eat, sleep, and relax! So, when the opportunity to write for Louis Vuitton City Guide presented itself, she was more than delighted to translate her favourite activity in work.
As Isabelle said,“ I like to talk about the city through the experiences of the creatives that live in it to translate it to the public in the most loyal way possible”.
Thank you, Isabelle, for sharing your incredible insights and your work with our students.
We really hope to see you again soon in Accademia.♥️
FROM BRIEF TO FEED | An open lesson by | Undergraduate Course in Fashion Management and BA Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication
Our Fashion Management and our Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication’s students, had the opportunity to follow a workshop by Giuliano Paradiso, Creative PM & Digital Content Manager at The North Face EMEA. During the lesson Giuliano explained his experience within the brand and how his career has developed through the years, vital importance of being curious helped him become what he is today.
He explained to our students how a campaign is launched from the brief that the Marketing Team gives them to the final product that is launched throughout all the social media platforms, website and inside each store in a different form.
A very fascinating and educational experience for the students that got to know this important role in the communication system.
Thank you to Giuliano and to all Team for this opportunity ♥️

Shooting Lab 📸 | BA Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication | PART 4
Our 3rd year BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication students were given the task to develop an article dedicated to a designer / student by working with the image rather than with words.
For this project they had the opportunity to collaborate with the 3rd year students of the BA in Costume & Fashion that provided them with products such as accessories and RTW, realized through the years in Accademia
Through the pictures our young designers were portrayed by their colleagues along with some of their projects. This was a great opportunity to connect our community and make them work together as a whole.
Thank You to their professor for supporting our students during the Making Of, and to their Coordinator ♥️
