Today in collaboration with our friends in we were delighted to welcome , Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science of Ireland and Colm O’Reardon, Secretary General to the department, to the College for a special visit during this significant year in our history. 🏛️
Our Irish students offered an engaging and thoughtful presentation on the Lay Formation Programme, reflecting on how their studies and experiences at the College have fostered a deeper sense of co-responsibility for the Church’s mission and responsible citizenship in contemporary society. 🤝
The Minister also had the opportunity to visit our extensive historical archives, which preserve material dating back almost 400 years to the foundation of the College. 📚
This visit comes at a particularly meaningful moment as the College marks the 100th anniversary of its presence on the Coelian Hill, a century of education, formation, scholarship, and community in the heart of Rome. 🇻🇦🇮🇹🇮🇪

Last Friday, for the feast of St. Joseph the Worker (May 1), the Pontifical Irish College had the privilege of welcoming more than 300 people in need, in collaboration with the Sant’Egidio Community, for a special lunch and an afternoon of entertainment.
We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers, staff, and students who made this day possible and who even brought along some Irish music and dance to share! 🎉🙏🏻☀️
