Distorted images and dark-goth atmospheres are the inspiration for the new MOD Academy collection.
Our journey begins in the 1920s, drinking heavily from the great basin of German expressionist cinema.
Films such as “the cabinet of dr. Caligaris "and" Nosferatu ", or directors like " Fritz Lang "and" Luis Bonuel "are the soundtrack to a stylistic development that instead draws on the teaching of the great costume designer and designer" Larry Legaspi "
Legaspi, between the 70s and 90s created the iconic and futuristic looks of the great rock stars of the caliber of KISS and Grace Jones, influencing and laying the foundations for what would later be the entire production of the American designer Rick Owens
With this Collection, MOD Academy wants to pay homage to the dark and alternative roots of the brand

Il taglio di Inna è un omaggio al famosissimo taglio chiamato "Firefly", creato nel 1972 da Christopher Brooker, uno dei direttori artistici de La Sassoon Academy. Il "Firefly" ha una delicata graduazione, evidenziazione e divisione multicolore, entrambe sviluppate dalla direttrice tecnica dell'Accademia - Annie Humpheys.

The Inna's haircut is a tribute of the famous "Firefly", the haircut created in 1972 by Christopher Brooker, one of the art directors in the Sassoon Academy. The "Firefly" cut has a softly graduated shape, multi-colour highlighting and slicing techniques, developed by the colour director Annie Humphreys.

La traduzione dalla lingua Giapponese di "KATA" è "forma" o "formalità".
Nello specifico nel taglio di Marta possiamo riconoscere la forma tonda. Uno dei tagli più famosi della scuola di Vidal Sassoon è Halo, creato nel 1967 da Roger Thompson, primo direttore artistico della company. Esattamente al suo bellissimo taglio va il nostro omaggio.

The Marta's haircut has a round form. One of the most famous haircuts from the Vidal Sassoon's school is Halo, a haircut designed and created in 1967 by Roger Thompson, the first art director of the company. The tribute is exactly to his beautiful haircut.

Per il taglio di Cathelyn ci siamo ispirati al celebre film di Luc Besson "Il Quinto Elemento", 1997. In particolare il colore è un omaggio al personaggio di Leeloo, interpretato da Milla Yovovich. Nel taglio abbiamo voluto valorizzare le morbidezze della femminilità. / The ispiration for Cathelyn's haircut we dipped out from the renowned film by Luc Besson "The Fifth Element", 1997. In particular the technical work is a tribute to Leeloo, the character interpreted by Milla Jovovich. Making the haircut we also wanted to point up the softness of femininity.

L'ispirazione per il taglio di Nicoletta è stata presa dal lavoro di Vidal Sassoon che fece su Mia Farrow nel film Rosemary's Baby, 1968 di Roman Polanski. / The inspiration for the Nicoletta's cut was catched from Mia Farrow's hairstyle made by Vidal Sassoon in the Roman's Polanski film Rosemary's Baby, 1968.
