🇪🇺 Building More Inclusive International Internships Across Europe

From 27 to 29 May 2026, all IN-KEY project partners met in Rome for the second Transnational Project Meeting.

Under the coordination of EuGen, representatives of CampusIberus, Erasmus Student Network (ESN), Per Formare, the University of Lille, and GaragErasmus came together to review the first research findings and plan the next phases of the project.

Despite growing interest in international internships, many students still face barriers related to disability, specific learning difficulties, economic hardship, housing costs, and other forms of disadvantage.

Through research, surveys, focus groups, webinars, guidelines, practical tools, and a dedicated chatbot, IN-KEY is working to make international mobility more accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all.

🌍 Host Organisation Interview

What does it take to create a truly welcoming space for international trainees?
We sit down with Ieva from ŽISPB, a Lithuanian NGO based in Šiauliai working in youth work, social inclusion, and non-formal education.

As part of the EU4EU Network, ŽISPB has opened its doors to international trainees from across Europe. In this conversation, Ieva shares how cultural exchange strengthens teams, what makes a trainee truly succeed, and why young professionals are often underestimated in their ability to connect, create, and build trust.

Swipe to discover ŽISPB's experience welcoming international talent and why they'd do it again. ➡️

What they value most in young professionals? Curiosity, openness, and the courage to try new things. 💡

Tomorrow is 9 May — Europe Day.🌍

There are dates that invite you to stop and think about what really matters. Tomorrow is one of them. The European Union has given an entire generation something that previous generations could only imagine: the freedom to study, work and grow beyond their own borders.

At EU4EU, we contribute to that every day, connecting students, universities and host organisations across Europe through Erasmus+ traineeships, turning that freedom into a real opportunity for thousands of young people building their careers.

Happy Europe Day. 🌍

The report of our February–March call is now available. 📊
Building on the strong results of 2025, this targeted call was designed to award additional Erasmus+ scholarships for students enrolled in Spanish and Portuguese universities — and the response from both students and host organisations has been outstanding.

At the close of the Matching Phase, 76 students successfully completed the process, securing a Letter of Acceptance from a host organisation within the EU4EU network. Of these, 25 Erasmus+ mobility scholarships were awarded, supporting students in undertaking high-quality international traineeships across Europe.

These results would not have been possible without the continued support and dedication of our partner universities and national coordinators, whose collaboration remains essential to the success of every call.
