“Prendere qualcuno in giro”, the Italian way to say to tease someone! ✨ In Italy, we don’t say “I’m just kidding”; we say “ti sto prendendo in giro!”, which literally means: “I’m taking you for a walk around” 🚶‍♂️
It means to joke or playfully make fun of someone, usually among friends.

💡 📚 The expression originally meant to lead someone around in circles, the way you’d distract or confuse them for fun. Over time, it became the go-to phrase for any kind of light teasing or joking. So, next time an Italian friend laughs and says “Ti sto prendendo in giro!”, don’t worry, they’re not being mean. They’re just keeping it friendly and fun, because laughter is part of speaking Italian (among other things).

Some forms of excellence are not trends.
They become part of history. 🤍
For centuries, Carrara marble has represented one of Italy’s most enduring symbols of excellence.
Extracted from the white quarries of the Apuan , this stone has shaped some of the world’s most iconic masterpieces: from Roman architecture to Renaissance sculpture, including works by Michelangelo.

Its purity, brightness, and remarkable quality made Carrara marble a material of choice for artists, architects, and designers across generations.
But Carrara is more than a material.
It is a where nature, craftsmanship, and vision meet.
✨ “Made in Italy” is not only about style. It is about heritage, precision, and the ability to create beauty that lasts.

Luigi Pirandello (28 June 1867 – 10 December 1936)
Sicilian writer, playwright, and Nobel Prize in Literature laureate (1934), Pirandello is considered one of the most influential voices of modern European literature and theatre.

Best known for works such as Six Characters in Search of an Author, Henry IV, and the novel One, No One and One Hundred Thousand, Pirandello explored themes that remain deeply relevant today: identity, illusion, truth, and the many roles we play in society.

His works challenged traditional storytelling and revolutionised modern theatre, questioning the boundaries between fiction and reality long before these became central themes in contemporary culture.

🎭 Pirandello reminds us that identity is never singular or fixed, and that language has the power to both reveal and transform our understanding of the world.

Studying in Italy also means learning not only to acquire knowledge, but to question, interpret, and look beyond appearances.

"🍩 Non tutte le ciambelle riescono col buco” literally: “Not all doughnuts come out with a hole.” It’s the Italian way of saying that not everything goes as planned; not every exam, project, or idea turns out perfectly. 😅

Fun fact: the ciambella has deep Italian roots, dating back to ancient rural and religious traditions, and even to Roman times!
You’ll find it in many regional versions, some with a hole, others (like in Romagna or Ferrara) deliciously whole.
So even if your ciambella (or your plan) doesn’t come out exactly as expected, it’s still worth enjoying. Life, like baking, isn’t always perfect… but it’s always sweet.
