Nel 1567 papa Paolo V la elevò a Università. A causa del crescente numero di studenti, papa Gregorio XIII la trasferì in una nuova sede appositamente edificata - il Collegio Romano - la cui cappella divenne l'annessa chiesa di Sant'Ignazio. L'Università prenderà il nome di "Gregoriana" in onore del Pontefice suo protettore. On 18 and 19 September, the 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 took place at the Pontifical Gregorian University, focusing on the present and future of the study of Christian spirituality.

Faculty members and scholars came together to reflect on 25 years of research, consider the major developments in the field, and explore the cultural, social and ecclesial challenges facing Christian spirituality in the decades ahead.

The Forum opened with a reflection on Pope Leo XIV’s Encyclical 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎 𝐻𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑠 and provided a space for 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 on new perspectives for Christian spirituality in the 21st century.

Il 18 e 19 settembre ha avuto luogo alla Pontificia Università Gregoriana il 𝐈𝐗 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐢 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢 𝐝𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐞, dedicato al presente e al futuro dello studio della spiritualità cristiana.

Un confronto tra docenti e studiosi per rileggere 25 anni di ricerca, individuare le principali trasformazioni della disciplina e interrogarsi sulle sfide culturali, sociali ed ecclesiali che attendono la spiritualità cristiana nei prossimi decenni.

Il Forum si è aperto con una riflessione sull’Enciclica 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎 𝐻𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑠 di Papa Leone XIV e ha offerto uno spazio di 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨, 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚 𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 sulle nuove prospettive della spiritualità cristiana nel XXI secolo.

Giunto alla sua 𝐈𝐈 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞, “𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐞?” e' il progetto della Facoltà di Filosofia - PUG che accompagna gli studenti delle scuole superiori alla scoperta di un’idea fondamentale: 𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐳𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢 𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨, ma possono dialogare e crescere insieme.

🎓 𝗦𝗘𝗜 𝗨𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘? 𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗜 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗘. 𝗠𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗜 𝗖𝗛𝗜 𝗘'? 👀

È 𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝗴𝗶 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗴𝗮, protettore degli studenti e patrono della gioventù cattolica. Morì ad appena 𝟮𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶, dopo una vita breve ma decisamente fuori dagli schemi.

𝗖𝗛𝗜 𝗘𝗥𝗔?
• 🏰 Nacque in una 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲, destinato a ricchezze, titoli e carriera militare. Aveva una storia che altri avevano già scritto al suo posto.
• 📚 A tutto questo preferiva però 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗶, 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗲. E soprattutto, la libertà di scegliere lui stesso chi voleva essere.
• ✝️ Rinunciò ai privilegi della sua famiglia per entrare nella 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗶 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘂'. L'opposizione che incontrò fu dura. Ma non vacillò.
• ❤️ Era un giovane di sogni grandi, di ideali alti e di orizzonti ampi. Ma soprattutto: era generoso. A Roma si dedicò all'assistenza degli ammalati durante un'epidemia.
• 🕯️ Morì giovanissimo, a soli 𝟮𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗘' 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗘𝗚𝗟𝗜 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜?
• 📜 𝟭𝟳𝟮𝟲 — Papa Benedetto XIII lo proclama santo.

On 5 October, the Faculty of Theology presents 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐀 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐦, a historical novel by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝐒.𝐉., Jesuit priest, Full Professor of Theology and 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Il 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐚̀ 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢 offre una solida preparazione di base per chi desidera avvicinarsi agli studi storici, storico-artistici e archeologici, con un’attenzione particolare alla storia della Chiesa di Roma, dalle origini al Medioevo.
