Balladoro family

By decree of the Venetian Senate of 9 December 1780, the nobles of Verona Giov. Battista, Bartolomeo, Giuseppe, Giovanni Dona' and Benedetto di Carlo, uncles and Luigi di Giovanni's nephew, were created counts with male descendants, having offered to the royal feudal patrimony of interest-bearing assets of their free right, located in the district of Verona and of which they were invested on 20 December of the same year as a noble, upright and legal fiefdom. They obtained confirmation of the title with the Sovereign Austrian Resolution of 15 February 1846.

Weichser family's name is derived from the castle of Weichs in Bavaria, which the family acquired in the 12th century. In the 15th century, the family split into two branches: the Weichser von Weichs and the Weichser von Glon. The Weichser von Glon branch of the family is the one that has produced the most notable members, including:

Maximilian von Weichs zur Glon (1881-1954), a German general who served in both World War I and World War II. He was convicted of war crimes at the Nuremberg trials, but was released for reasons of health in 1948.
Freiherr Friedrich von Weichs zur Glon (1921-2010), a German diplomat who served as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States from 1979 to 1984.
The Weichser family's coat of arms features a silver swan on a red field. The swan is a symbol of purity and grace, and it is thought to represent the family's commitment to honor and service.

The Weichser family has had a significant impact on the history of Germany and Europe. The family's members have served in high-ranking positions in the military and government, and they have played a role in shaping the course of history.

The Weichser family is still active today, and its members continue to serve in a variety of professions. The family is also involved in a number of charitable and philanthropic organizations.
