Katie (@colibriconnect) is a conference interpreter specialising in food and agriculture, human rights, and media. She has worked extensively for the Civil Society Mechanism for Food Security and Nutrition at the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, and the transnational agrarian movement La Via Campesina. Katie is currently completing her PhD on the impacts of global governance on natural resource tenure in Nepal. She has a Masters in African Studies from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies, London), a European Masters in Conference Interpreting from the University of Lisbon, and a BA/MA from the University of Cambridge.
