APA and ANICA Present the New Edition of MIA 2026 in Cannes - MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo APA and ANICA unveil the new edition of MIA 2026 in Cannes, introducing the Animation Series Gap Financing Market, European Investment Hub and new networking initiatives ahead of the Rome event in October.

Yesterday in Cannes, the 12th edition of MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo was officially presented by Chiara Sbarigia, President of APA, Alessandro Usai, President of ANICA, and Gaia Tridente, Director of MIA.

The event will take place in Rome from October 19 to 23, 2026.

This new edition looks firmly to the future, introducing many new features and a strengthened editorial vision designed to further enhance the international growth of the market and reinforce its key role within the global audiovisual industry.

Many distinguished guests attended the presentation, including institutional remarks from Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Culture.

Gaia Tridente, presented the main highlights and new developments of the 2026 program, previewing an even richer, more international, and innovation-driven edition.
