“There is no world. There are only 6 billion understandings of it.” — Drew Dudley

What if leadership isn't about changing the whole world, but about changing one person's world?

In his inspiring TED Talk, Drew Dudley challenges the idea that leadership is reserved for extraordinary people or life-changing moments. Instead, he reminds us that leadership is found in everyday acts of kindness, encouragement, and connection.

He calls these "lollipop moments"—the small interactions that leave a lasting impact, often without us ever realizing it.

Every conversation, every act of support, and every moment of encouragement has the potential to shape someone's life.

Let me tell you what volunteering with ROSA is like Well, just like you, I actually haven't done it yet. But we can do it together?? This November? I'm helping ROSA to spread the word about their volunteer abroad programs so they have a more steady stream of volunteers throughout the year. But in November they are specifically looking for a small group to head to Tanzania with their Recoding Africa program.

This placement will be in Tanzania for about two weeks (but the time is flexible) at two schools in Zanzibar. And if you ask me, the experience of volunteering and the people you meet is reward enough, but you will also receive a certificate of attendance and Cisco professional badges. The program works with children and teens (ages 3-17) in the community who face limited access to quality education. Volunteers work alongside local educators to support students development through digital literacy and creative actives to build communication skills and long-term empowerment. The costs depend on the length of your stay, but they cover on-site service fees including accommodations, internet, some meals, training, and mentoring. If you want to learn more about volunteering comment "ROSA" and I will send you more info, or head to rosaservices.org!!

🤖What if the future of AI in education depends not only on innovation—but also on responsibility?

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we teach and learn. But as AI becomes more integrated into education, educators must also understand the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with using these powerful tools.

At R.O.S.A., we believe empowering teachers means helping them navigate emerging technologies with confidence, integrity, and care.

In this month’s TTT Programme Mentoring Session, we’ll explore:
✨ The legal foundations governing AI use in education
✨ Copyright, intellectual property, and AI-generated content
✨ Student privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance
✨ Ethical responsibilities and legal liabilities in AI-assisted teaching
✨ Practical frameworks for responsible and sustainable AI adoption

We’re honored to welcome Nkosana Maphosa, an AI expert, who will guide participants through the legal and ethical landscape of AI in education and share practical insights for using AI responsibly in teaching and learning.
