Hippo English Without Borders - the Contest

HIPPO English Without Borders – the Contest is a prestigious international English language contest organized by the Global Hippo Association.

This non-profit organization, founded in 2012, aims to promote the importance of English language proficiency while fostering unity and cultural exchange among young learners worldwide. HIPPO invites students from around the world to challenge their English skills and connect with peers in a spirit of friendly competition. The contest nurtures a shared sense of identity, encouraging young people to come together as a global community. The main goal of Hippo the Contest is to cultivate international understanding, forge lasting friendships, and promote the value of English as a bridge between cultures. Participants get the chance to develop their language skills while competing on a global stage. Since its first edition in 2013, with just 5,000 participants from 6 countries, HIPPO has rapidly expanded its reach. The latest edition, held in 2024, saw a record-breaking number of 88,238 participants from over 65 countries, with nearly 200 students advancing to the final round! The 13th edition of the HIPPO Contest will take place in 2025, and we are excited to welcome students and schools from around the world. With a vast network of country coordinators across more than 65 countries, students from all corners of the globe are encouraged to participate. Hippo the Contest is open to non-native English speakers in search of a new challenge, invaluable experience and life-long friendships.

Hippo S.R.L. ha beneficiato di un intervento finanziato nell’ambito del Programma Regionale Umbria FSE+ 2021–2027, finalizzato a sostenere la creazione di nuova occupazione stabile attraverso l’incentivazione all’assunzione da parte delle imprese.

Il progetto ha sostenuto l’assunzione di un nuovo lavoratore nell’ambito delle misure previste dal Programma Regionale Umbria FSE+ 2021–2027. L’iniziativa si inserisce nelle politiche di sostegno all’occupazione e alla creazione di rapporti di lavoro stabili.

L’obiettivo dell’intervento è favorire la creazione di nuova occupazione stabile attraverso il sostegno alle imprese che procedono all’assunzione di nuovi lavoratori.

Spoleto is a place where this history can still be seen and experienced at every step.
For over 2,000 years, Spoleto’s history has passed through different eras and cultures. From the Roman city of Spoletium to the Lombard Duchy, the city has witnessed the passage of different peoples and powers, leaving traces that are still visible throughout its historic center.

The Ponte delle Torri and the Albornoz Fortress tell the story of Spoleto’s medieval character, together with churches, palaces, squares, and narrow streets that preserve centuries of history.
The period from the Renaissance to the modern age also left its mark, continuing into the Napoleonic era, when Spoleto entered a new phase of its history.

Today, walking through Spoleto means travelling through more than 2,000 years of history, surrounded by architecture, art, and nature.
