Today’s Grade 9 Mass was a moment of reflection and inspiration, followed by the Confirmation Parent Meeting. Fr. Greg shared a reading from the Gospel of Luke, reminding us to pray and never give up, especially in challenging times marked by natural disasters, fires, poverty, and disease.
Together, we are called to show compassion, support, and offer prayers for those in need. Praying together transforms us in ways we may not always see, while praying alone strengthens our persistence. 💛

Today’s Elementary School assembly brought a touch of history and inspiration as Ms. Ni Cheallaigh returned from the RSHM Retreat in Paris. She shared the remarkable story of Fr. John Gailhac and Mother St. Jean Pelissier Cure, the visionary founders of Marymount. Their lives were a testament to selflessness, serving the poor and needy with boundless compassion.
Their legacy reminds us of a beautiful message to be passed on to our young minds: Find your special talent, and use it to help others. A splendid reminder that each of us holds the potential to do good — let’s rise to the occasion! ✨

🌟 RSHM Annual Retreat 2025 🌟
From January 15-17, faculty and staff from Marymount schools in Rome, London, and Paris gathered in Paris for the RSHM Annual Retreat, led by Sister Luisa Almendra. Together, they reflected, prayed, and explored the profound legacy of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary.
They were inspired by the extraordinary stories of our founders, Father Gailhac, Mother St. Jean, and Mother Butler; whose dedication empowered women and transformed lives, offering hope to the most vulnerable in society. Their mission, born in the aftermath of the 1848 revolution, continues to guide us today.
Through meaningful dialogue and Sister Luisa's powerful storytelling, they rediscovered how Marymount’s unique blend of academic excellence and spiritual growth shapes our shared purpose: to nurture compassionate, thoughtful leaders prepared to make a positive impact in the world.

We were profoundly moved by Amin Sheikh's heartfelt speech at our Marymount Talks event. Amin shared his stirring journey from the streets of Mumbai to becoming a beacon of hope and change through his entrepreneurial and philanthropic efforts. 🌍
At just five years old, he fled an abusive home and survived by polishing shoes and scavenging for food, until Snehasadan, an NGO for homeless children, offered him shelter and education. His resilience and gratitude drove him to give back in a powerful way: founding the Bombay to Barcelona Library Café. This unique space not only provides employment opportunities for former street children but also serves as a symbol of hope and transformation.
Amin’s message reminded us of the profound difference one person can make with determination and compassion. Thank you, Amin, for inspiring us to see challenges as opportunities and to uplift those in need.

Let us extend our warmest felicitations to the stellar students newly inducted into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society! These bright minds and noble spirits have earned their place not merely through academic prowess but through a commitment to service, leadership, and character that truly elevates them as exemplars of their generation.
Our sincerest gratitude also goes to Ambassador Ryszard Marian Schnepf, Ambassador of Poland, whose eloquent and inspiring words left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of our students. His speech on the essence of curiosity and the true definition of diplomacy left us not only inspired but also reminded of the boundless possibilities that lie ahead when intellect meets compassion.

Today, our Grade 5 students and their parents gathered for a Mass centered on the timeless themes of forgiveness and empathy. "Treat others as you wish to be treated," we were reminded, encouraging us to live without grudges and to always be truthful and honest.
Following the spiritual nourishment, the journey of growth continued with a vibrant Transition Meeting into Grade 6. Our young scholars received a hearty welcome from two Grade 6 students who shared insights into the exciting new world awaiting them. From learning new languages to exploring various electives and sports programs, the presentation was a window into a future filled with endless possibilities.
As we encourage our students to embrace these new challenges, we also prepare them to be global citizens who lead with compassion and integrity. Join us in celebrating these steps forward, as we nurture the leaders of tomorrow.
