We are so proud of Balsem in Year 7 who has been Specially Commended at the prestigious 2026 Keats-Shelley House Poetry Prize for Schools.

Competing in the English Poems/Middle Schools category, Balsem’s poem, 'Threads', stood out to the judges for its creativity and voice.

Balsem already serves our community as the Year 7 Class Rep. We couldn't be prouder of this achievement. Balancing student leadership with such high-level creative writing is no small feat.

Our years 3 and 4 had a blast exploring Umbria last week! Students embraced every opportunity, building confidence, resilience, and teamwork along the way.

From archery to a series of exciting team-building challenges, students worked together, encouraged one another, and celebrated their successes.

One of the highlights was an incredible hike all the way from Umbria into Tuscany! Along the trail, our students showed fantastic determination and teamwork, supporting each other every step of the way and proving just how much can be achieved beyond the classroom.

New adventures, new friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime.

A few weeks ago, Year 9 traded their desks for the front lines of Italy’s premier innovation hub. Looking back at their time at the 19th Rome Cup, it’s clear the visit to Rome Cup 2026 was a masterclass in Hands-On, Minds-On learning.

From active programming such as coding autonomous "Sumo" robots to compete in real-time battles to active inquiry such as using to interact with complex data, the experience helped students to further develop and apply IB skills - risk-taking, , and collaboration - beyond the classroom.

Year 6 recently put on an impactful showcase of innovation and inquiry for their IB PYP Exhibition. This milestone event represents the culmination of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and our students took the lead with passion.

The hallmark of this year’s exhibition was student agency. Our young learners took full ownership of their learning journey. They identified issues they were personally passionate about - tackling complex global themes including:

👉 Technology & Ethics - how to navigating the world of Artificial Intelligence
👉 Social Justice - exploring the history of Women’s Rights
👉 Modern Challenges - investigating the psychology of addiction and the impact of digital marketing
👉 Environmental Stewardship - advocating for solutions to deforestation and climate change

From designing interactive displays and digital presentations to fielding difficult questions from parents and peers, Year 6 demonstrated that they have become critical thinkers and confident communicators.

Hearing our students articulate their knowledge with such maturity made it clear that they have the skills and the independence required for Middle School. Congratulations Year 6! 🎊

For many of our Years 3 and 4 students, this residential trip to Umbria marks their very first time away from home - and what an incredible first day it has been.

From sharing a delicious lunch to creating their own musical instruments, students embraced every moment of the adventure. They enjoyed team sports, built new friendships, and worked together to put on a brilliant Stomp-style rhythm performance!

Most importantly, students are already showing growing confidence, independence, and teamwork as they create memories beyond the classroom.

A memorable first day filled with laughter, friendship, and experiences our students will remember for years to come.

Our Kindergarten explorers took their curiosity to an amazing local gelateria for a hands-on masterclass in traditional gelato making. There is a special kind of magic that happens when children see fresh fruit transformed into their favourite treats. By watching the churn and the mix firsthand, they discovered the science and art behind real food.

These experiences help children connect with their community and build awareness of food sources. It was a fun and full-sensory exploration that our Early Years students won’t soon forget!

Our Middle Schoolers have returned from their Extended Curriculum Trip to Campania, and what an incredible journey it was. By stepping beyond the classroom, our students had the opportunity to connect with history and culture in a way that truly brings their studies to life.

The itinerary was a whirlwind of discovery. From exploring the grand scale of the Royal Palace of Caserta to standing in awe of the towering Greek temples at , the group immersed themselves in the region’s rich heritage. These experiences will last a lifetime!
