Today, May 9, we celebrate Europe Day, commemorating the historic declaration made on this very day in 1950 by French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman, who presented an ambitious plan for greater cooperation in Europe. 🇪🇺

It was precisely in this spirit of community collaboration that an important mission visit to Brussels took place from May 4 to 7 by a delegation from the Salesian Co-programming Committee in Italy.

𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Hosted by 𝗠𝗘𝗣 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮́𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗷𝗮 as part of Mental Health Europe’s European Mental Health Week, the event will bring together EU and national perspectives on how families, schools, communities, and wider social systems can better protect and promote children’s mental health and well-being.

On behalf of DBI and Salesiani Italia, Fr. Elio Cesari will present the "Bridge2Autonomy", an innovative project that aims to bridge the gap between school and adult life for students with cognitive disabilities, promoting their inclusion through the new role of Inclusion Tutor.

Italia – “International EDU JOB FAIRS”: opportunità per i giovani delle scuole salesiane

(ANS – Udine) – In un mondo in rapida evoluzione, è fondamentale offrire ai giovani nuove traiettorie formative che li mettano in condizione di competere sul mercato internazionale e allo stesso tempo di valorizzare il proprio talento. In tale prospettiva, la prossima edizione dell’evento “Edu Job Fairs”, che si terrà in Friuli-Venezia Giulia e online dal 13 al 15 novembre 2025, rappresenta un’occasione straordinaria per i giovani delle scuole salesiane globali.

Belgio – Don Bosco Tech Europe: inclusione e scuola aperta al centro del “Policy Camp” 2025

Bruxelles, Belgio – ottobre 2025 – Al “Policy Camp & Annual Conference” 2025 dell’Associazione Europea degli Istituti di Formazione Professionale (EVBB), a Bruxelles, Piero Fabris del “Don Bosco Tech Europe APS” ha condiviso la visione salesiana sull’inclusione e la scuola aperta. Fabris ha sottolineato come i salesiani abbiano sempre promosso l’educazione inclusiva aprendo le scuole alla comunità attraverso collaborazioni con aziende, famiglie e studenti. Ricordando Don Bosco come il primo “open schooler” della storia, Fabris ha sottolineato i suoi sforzi pionieristici nel XIX secolo per negoziare migliori condizioni di lavoro e formazione per i giovani, anticipando i moderni principi europei. Fabris ha concluso affermando che la Famiglia Salesiana continua a innovare l’istruzione con progetti co-creati tra istituzioni, imprese e comunità, trasformando le opere salesiane in incubatori di sviluppo umano e innovazione.
