Winter is the time to spend in the kitchen, cooking traditional dishes. I love making Maccheroni alla Chitarra for our guests. And teaching them how to make them…..

I always stop to admire the mascheroni we have in our garden….a mascaron on a fountain is a reminder of the Roman Baroque tradition of Grotesque garden decorations…

…autumn leaves ( from the persimmon tree) design the season on the garden table …

…and with our new olive oil we prepared a quick lunch of friselle, crushed nasturtium leaves and basil, all fresh from our vegetable garden…

On the 1 December we shall gather for our popular hatha/yin yoga morning workshop with Marina. Prepare to be both energised and relaxed in the beautiful surroundings of Vila il Cardinale. Half way through the morning we’ll have a break with tea/ coffee and snacks.
