Our Grade 8 graduates were cheered on by our whole school community on Wednesday of this week, their last full day at Ambrit.

We asked two of our graduates to share their experiences as Ambrit students. We asked them to simply speak from their hearts.

READY, STEADY, GO! 🏁 And go they did!

Every student from Grade 8 to Nursery participated joyfully in Ambrit’s Sports Day—a day 🏃‍♀️🏃 filled with fun, team spirit, and endless energy! 🔋

It was also a spectacular showcase of our IB values in action, especially the Principled learner profile attribute.

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated sportsmanship 🤸🏻‍♀️, integrity 👔, and respect for one another.

Older children played side by side with our youngest students 👩‍👧‍👦 for the first whole-school 🏫 activities, acting as fair and encouraging role models before splitting into departments to continue their events.

Many thanks to our incredible PE teachers, 👩🏾‍🏫 Ms. Westelaken and 👩🏾‍🏫 Ms. Randall, for organizing this busy day, and to all the teachers 🧍🏽🧍🏽 who cheered the children on!

“To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak.” Hopi saying.

On Thursday, Ambrit held its annual Dance Festival. Every student from Nursery up to Grade 8 took to the dance floor and delighted parents, teachers and fellow students with dances from around the world! It was a joy to watch the children shine...and to come together as a multicultural community to celebrate the beauty of dance.
Many thanks to our inspiring teachers Ms. Giovanna and Ms. Federica who worked over many weeks to put this wonderful show together.

MUN Madrid

Last week, our incredible Middle School students traveled to Spain for the MUN Europe conference in Madrid! After a full year of dedicated preparation, they stepped into the shoes of global diplomats to tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges.

Our students did it all:

📝 Deep-dive research & writing position papers

🗣️ Debating complex global issues

🤝 Building alliances & negotiating

🚨 Solving high-stakes crisis simulations

📜 Drafting impactful resolutions

But the trip wasn’t all work! Between intense committee sessions, our students soaked up the culture by touring the beautiful city of Madrid and exploring world-class art at The Prado and Reina Sofia Museums. 🎨🏛️

🏆 A special shout-out to Vilde, who won the prestigious award for Best Position Paper! What an amazing achievement! 👏👏

We are so incredibly proud of all of our MUN students. Your hard work, diplomacy, and dedication all year long truly shined. Way to represent our school! 💙🌟

Last but not least: a huge “thank you” to MUN Coordinator and PYP Teacher Ms. Alexondra Purnomo and to Librarian Ms. Fee Huebner for their commitment to our students.

A big “in bocca al lupo” to our Grade 5 students and teachers on the start of their PYP Exhibition tomorrow!

Six weeks of a deep dive into a passion of their choice culminates in a presentation of their research, to family members, mentors, students and teachers from other grades.

It’s an important moment for our entire PYP school community and we wish them... all the very best!!

Supply and demand, budgets, market surveys, profit and loss..these are all terms our Grade 3 students have been learning about during their Unit of Inquiry on Money.

This week was the culmination of all their hard work in The Grade 3 Market Place where our learners, having persuaded their investors (parents) to fund their business with a 5-paragraph letter, then sold their own hand-made crafts and sweets.

All proceeds will be donated to charities the children have chosen! Well done Grade 3!

The Lorax played to a full house last Thursday and Friday!

Hot pop corn, candy floss and drinks were served to the audience as they waited in the atrium. The theatre doors opened at 6pm and the show was on!

Songs, dance, colourful costumes and our talented young actors and actresses kept us all entertained as they performed joyfully for parents, students and staff!

It was a beautiful evening and the whole Ambrit community extends heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Drama Club teachers, students and the Friends of Ambrit parent volunteers for their commitment and hard work.

What better place to find out what wonderful things our Nursery risk-takers can do... than a circus!

As part of their unit, “Amazing us”, our Nursery class set off to visit “VoloVoilá”, where amazing was truly the word of the day.

Rabbits in hats, bubbles galore, the trickery of magic and above all the freedom to twirl, twist, jump, run and dance!

This was a joyful, magical day for our youngest students.

On Saturday, Ambrit celebrated more than 40 years of our traditional May Fair!!

This is a day when parents, staff, students and alumni gather to enjoy fabulous food and games from around the world and this year in addition, a student rock band, a wonderful swing band, kapla creativity, a bouncy castle and as always, the simple pleasure of spending time together.

Many thanks to the families who donated delicious food and their time supervising the games and to our fabulous group of mothers in FOA who dedicate time and energy to making these events a success.

A great time was had by all!!
