Last Thursday, the Institut International Saint-Dominique proudly celebrated the graduation of our IB Diploma Programme Class of 2026.

More than a ceremony, this special evening marked the end of an extraordinary journey filled with perseverance, growth, friendships, challenges overcome, and unforgettable memories. Over the past two years, our students have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, open-mindedness, and a true commitment to excellence.

Coming from different cultures and backgrounds, they have grown together into a community of globally minded young adults, ready to take their next steps with confidence and ambition.

We warmly congratulate all our graduates and thank our teachers, families, and the entire IB team for their dedication and support throughout this journey.

A special thank you to Nadine Hakme, our IB Coordinator, whose guidance, care, and commitment have helped each student flourish and succeed.

📚🌍 Today we celebrate World Book Day!
Throughout the day, our school was filled with the joy of books and stories. A highlight of the celebration was our book swap between students, giving books a second life and allowing everyone to discover new stories to enjoy. Alongside this, readings led by parents and older students created special moments of sharing and discovery for our students.

Together, we continue to nurture a love of reading in French, English, and Italian 🇫🇷🇬🇧🇮🇹

Our MS and GS students took their first steps into the world of coding through a fun, hands-on activity 🤖
Using a small robot, they explored a solar system-themed route, guiding it from one point to another while learning how to think like programmers 🌌

Along the way, they developed key skills: understanding directions on a grid, planning and anticipating a path using arrows, and programming the robot before testing and refining their instructions.

A wonderful introduction to problem-solving, logic, and perseverance at an early age 🚀

Our IB programme students recently took part in a mathematics competition at CSM Milan, alongside international schools from across Italy 🇮🇹
Beyond the competition, this experience was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and connect with students from diverse cultural and national backgrounds 🌍

They showcased not only strong academic skills, but also open-mindedness, teamwork, and perseverance, values at the heart of international education.

Learning beyond the classroom, building connections, and opening up to the world: this is what truly matters.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment, enthusiasm, and the way they represented our school 👏

♻️ Give Your Clothes a Second Life!
Our school parking lot now hosts an container for used clothing donations, right by the entrance gate and emptied weekly.

This isn’t just about recycling. It’s about teaching our students the life cycle of clothes and the impact of everyday choices. Every donation supports responsible consumption and a hands-on civic learning experience for our children.

Bring your gently used clothes and be part of this green initiative! 🌱

🌍 On 24 March, our students joined a workshop led by Action Against Hunger in preparation for the Run Against Hunger on 15 May.

This year’s fundraising will support children and families in the Central African Republic, helping provide essential care for malnutrition and access to basic needs such as food, water, and shelter.

Next week, our Grade 11 students 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 will visit classes to present the project in more detail and distribute the solidarity passports.

This initiative also continues the journey from the Primary Green Race (Course Verte), helping our students grow their awareness of sustainability and advocacy.

A New Year at ISD ✨
As we begin this new year, we wish our ISD families health, peace, and success. Together, we continue to nurture a multilingual, international education rooted in academic excellence, critical thinking, and strong humanistic values.

We are proud of our vibrant parent community and of our four accreditations (French, ESABAC, IB & Cambridge), which reflect the quality and international outlook of ISD.
