After completing the Master’s Program in Sustainable Agrifood System Management, Alessia Pasotto began her career as an agri-tech consultant, helping organizations navigate the transition toward more sustainable and innovative agrifood systems.

Today, we remember our friend and Faculty Member, Lorenzo Bramanti.
Lorenzo dedicated his life to understanding and protecting the natural world. But those who had the privilege of working with him will remember something even greater: his generosity, his curiosity, and his quiet ability to inspire others.
At EIIS, we believe education is ultimately about people. Lorenzo embodied that belief in every conversation, every lecture, and every moment shared with our community.
His absence leaves a profound void, but his ideas, his passion, and his example will continue to travel through the people he inspired.
Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A few days ago, the Hazelnut Summit brought together institutions, academia, professional associations and industry leaders in Rome to celebrate the first year of the Hazelnut Agronomy Program.

At EIIS, we believe that real change happens when different stakeholders come together around a shared vision. Promoted by Ferrero Italia Hazelnut Company together with EIIS and , the Hazelnut Agronomy Program is a concrete example of how building strong ecosystems can drive innovation, sustainability and long-term impact across an entire value chain.

During the event, participants showcased the projects developed throughout the program, demonstrating that when knowledge, expertise and collaboration come together, meaningful solutions can emerge.

We were proud to be part of this journey, which now moves into its second edition and gives life to the Hazelnut Community, a platform designed to strengthen connections, foster collaboration and turn ideas into action.

A sincere thank you to the European Parliament for hosting us, and to Vice President Pina Picierno for supporting this initiative and recognizing its potential as a model for sustainable innovation and collaboration across sectors.

The Silk Road is back, and it carries a message of peace.
We at EIIS were proud to present the launch of the "Marco Polo Drive for Peace", alongside our Scientific Director Professor Jeffrey Sachs, one of the world's leading voices for multilateralism and a sustainable future.
