Chef Pino- how much cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in your recipe Timballo of Anelletti pasta and Spicy Meat Mix? We made it last Fall with you. I’m making it now. Stay well!
Only in Italy! Some FUN news among the current world situation.

From La Gazzetta di Modena: Castelvetro (a small region near Modena) Settecani (a small town in Castelvetro area), lambrusco (a lovely fizzo red wine of the region 'Grasparossa') comes out of home (water) faucets!

Grazie Chef Pino
Pino and Julia are a great time, full of knowledge and experience, kind and patient. Lessons can be held in Italian, French, and English. The perfect venue for a small group of students. While there are traditional Italian cuisine lessons (e.g. pasta, sauces, risotto) there are also plenty of niche and delicious ones (e.g. cornetti vs croissants, charcuterie, knife handling skills). Come prepared to have a great time!
We truly enjoyed our Mother’s Sauces class. Pino And Julia were very informative and helpful every step along the way. We also learned knife skills and how to create three types of pasta, along with the three Italian sauces. Julia even recommended a gelato store for later in the day along with many ideas of how to fill the rest of our time in Rome. I would definitely recommend any of there classes. We would also book additional classes when we return to Rome someday.
This is the 2nd time taking a class at Grano & Farina. We took the pasta making class in Dec 2018, and now back in Rome, we took the stuffed pasta class. The classes are awesome, its much more than just pasta making, you learn how to make the sauces and various other kitchen tips. Julia and Pino are super friendly, professional, and have lots of experience. The classes are small, very hands on, the place is more like a school environment, for me I didn't want to be in someone's house, very clean, and a lot of fun!! And the wine was flowing!! Definitely would recommend one of their classes, we will take another when we are back in Rome. Ciao!!
P.S. One word of "warning." If you are simply looking for a place to sip wine in the corner, this place is NOT for you. You WILL learn to make pastas and sauces, and you WILL be doing so in a very hands-on fashion!!
Incredibilmente deliziosa!!! Chef Pino and Sfoglina Julia are a delightful couple, both of whom are straordinaria at their crafts. Each is accomplished and patient in their teaching method, and sort of tag team between the steps required to make delicious pastas and sauces. They also provide amazing tastings along the way, while you the students apply what they are teaching you - including some vino! :-) Their "school" is spotless, and has been designed and set up with tremendous taste and class. My wife, two daughters and I all felt like we shared a day/evening with old friends, and learned TONS about fresh, healthy, wholesome Italian cooking. Mangia bene!!
We had a fantastic experience learning how to make southern Italian pastas with Pino and Julia! Julia and Pino are knowledgeable, and great at sharing their expertise. My elderly mother-in-law joined us, and they were incredibly patient with her so that we all could enjoy the experience. We're looking forward to making homemade pasta at home now!
I cant believe I met you guys! This is absolutley amazing!!!
brava Julia!!!
