After the third Winter School that took place at the end of February at the Dipartimento di Fisica Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata" and saw Edition2 and Edition3 students dealing with “Hands-on Activity on Spectroscopic Data Reduction”, we are looking forward to the third MASS Summer School that is being organized by the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade and will have as topic "Big Data in Astronomy".

The selection process for was completed on April 30th, 2025. Out of the 517 applications, 279 fulfilled the general eligibility criteria. All eligible applications have been carefully examined and ranked in order of merit by the MASS Selection Committee. As a result of this evaluation, a total of 87 applicants were selected for admission to the programme. A total of 22 scholarships and 10 fee waivers have been offered to the highest ranked candidates.
All selected applicants and those who were found to be eligible but were not selected for admission have been notified via email. The non-eligible applicants are currently being notified.

MASS Summer School 2024 Contest - How would one effectively convey the results of a Master thesis in a 3-minute presentation? At the MASS Summer School organized by Université Côte d'Azur on 15-19 July 2024, a contest was organised for Edition1 students: "My thesis in 180 sec".
The contest winner was Aman Nadimpalli Raju, who presented the thesis work on "Application of Attentive and Latent Neural Processes to Quasar Light Curves in the Context of the LSST". Well done!

The second MASS Summer School is taking place this week at the Centre International de Valbonne (France). The school is organized by the Université Cote d’Azur on “Observational Astronomy and Data Processing”. All students from both ongoing MASS editions are participating and tonight Edition 1 students will give short presentations of their ongoing thesis works.
The school started with a guided visit to the Calern Observatory and is continuing with lectures, remote observations with the telescopes at the Calern Observatory and hands-on sessions on spectroscopic and photometric data processing according to the programmehttps://www.master-mass.eu/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/MASS_Summer_School2_program.pdf

Edition 1 students will present their ongoing projects. Special guest speakers are two alumnae of the AstroMundus Master Course program: Andrea Guzman Mesa and Yana Khusanova.
