Farà tappa a Portici, Napoli, la Biennale dell’Economia Cooperativa di Legacoop in occasione della quale sarà presentato il Manifesto Cooperativo per lo Sviluppo della Dieta Mediterranea. L’iniziativa si terrà il 15 luglio presso la Sala Cinese dell'Università Federico II di Napoli, Dipartimento di Agraria, a Portici per una giornata dal titolo "Dieta Mediterranea e Cooperazione: Un Modello di Sviluppo". L'evento avrà inizio alle 10 con l'apertura a cura di Anna Ceprano, presidente Legacoop Campania. Ai saluti istituzionali farà seguito l'introduzione di Cristian Maretti presidente di Legacoop Agroalimentare e un video saluto del presidente di Legacoop Nazionale, Simone Gamberini. Tra gli interventi, quello di Maurizio Martina, vice direttore generale della Fao e di Ettore Prandini, presidente di Coldiretti. Presenti numerosi rappresentanti della cooperazione. Previsto il video saluto del ministro Francesco Lollobrigida. La mattinata sarà moderata da Sara Roversi del Future Food Institute21.
Un momento centrale dell’incontro sarà la presentazione del Manifesto Cooperativo della Dieta Mediterranea di Legacoop a cura di Sara Guidelli, direttore generale di Legacoop Agroalimentare.
Nel pomeriggio, dalle 14,30 la giornata prosegue con il dibattito Agricoltura Sociale Bene Comune.

The article, titled "Innovative Projects in the Blue Sector: Driving Sustainability and Economic Development of Marine Resources", showcases BOUTCAR’s role in tackling some of the most pressing challenges facing the blue economy today, including generational renewal, sustainable resource management, and advanced education.

So, what is BOUTCAR? It’s a groundbreaking partnership bringing together top organisations, associations, and universities from across Europe. We’re working to address the biggest challenges in the aquaculture and fisheries sectors, and we need your input! Help us identify the most critical gap that we should focus on. Vote for the issue you think is the most important to tackle.

1️⃣ Lack of Diversity: We identified a lack of languages knowledge and a lack of multicultural integration and gender/age imbalance, hence there is a need for better inclusion and diversity in the workforce.
2️⃣ Limited Education: Lack of educational programs related to aquaculture and fisheries during compulsory school and vocational training. We have also identified big differences between regions (in EQF level, definition, duration of professional course, you name it).
3️⃣ Poor Sustainability Awareness: Low understanding of resource sustainability, policy management, and economic diversification.
4️⃣ Financial Challenges: Issues with low salaries, funding limitations, and inefficiencies in operations and regulations.

At the BOUTCAR project, we’re focused on helping young people and adults get into the aquaculture and fisheries industries. We want to make sure these fields grow and become more innovative.

Recently, we met in Vigo, Spain, with our partners from Italy, Greece, and Spain to develop training pathways. These pathways will teach important skills needed to work in aquaculture and fisheries.

Key Focus Areas:
🚀 Raising Awareness: We want to show young people the many job opportunities in aquaculture and fisheries that they might not know about.
🚀 Ensuring Fair Pay: It’s important that people in these jobs are paid fairly so that they feel valued and want to stay in the industry.
🚀 Improving Education and Training: We are creating strong education and training pathways to help people get the skills they need to succeed in these fields.

Challenges and Opportunities:
During our meeting, we found some important areas where we need to improve:
↗ Language Skills: People need to be able to speak multiple languages to communicate better in the global market.
↗ Diversity and Inclusion: We want to make sure that people from different backgrounds, ages, and genders have equal opportunities in these industries.
↗ Education in Schools: It’s important to teach students about aquaculture and fisheries early on so they can consider these careers.
↗ Sustainable Practices: We need to focus on using resources wisely and understanding policies to protect the environment.
↗ New Career Paths: We are looking into creating new jobs like Blue Operator, Blue Promoter, Blue Seafooder, and Blue Manager to meet the industry’s needs and promote sustainability.

We believe that with the right training and support, the next generation can take aquaculture and fisheries to new levels, making them even more sustainable and innovative 💪🌟

Dear network, we would like to introduce to you 'BOUTCAR', an EMFAF EU project in where we will shape the future of fisheries and aquaculture. The coming years we will develop a training pathway for young people and adults to acquire the competencies and skills needed to support the EU Green Deal and contribute to Blue Growth.
