🎭 A city preparing for the future through culture.
📍 Palazzo del Fumetto, Pordenone

CuriosiFVG participants, 20 youth from 19 European Country, explored “Le profondità verticali”, the exhibition dedicated to the extraordinary work of Sergio Toppi.

Guided by Riccardo Pasqual, illustrator, comic artist, educator, and one of the people helping bring the language of comics to new generations at Palazzo del Fumetto, the group discovered Toppi’s unique artistic vision and storytelling style.

The visit ended with a hands-on workshop, where participants experimented with ink and dip pens, stepping into the creative process behind Toppi’s masterpieces.

A reminder that culture is not only something to admire, but something to experience and create.

☕📚🌬️🎨 Through coffee, literature, wind and craftsmanship.
📍 Trieste, Italy

Today, the CuriosiFVG participants explored one of Europe's most fascinating border cities, discovering the stories, traditions, and creative spirit that make Trieste unique.

From the historic Caffè Tommaseo to the literary legacy of Joyce, Svevo, Saba and D'Annunzio, from the collections of LETS – the Literature Museum to the invisible force of the Bora wind, every stop revealed a different layer of the city's identity.

The day ended among local artisan shops, where creativity, tradition, and innovation come together to keep Trieste's cultural heritage alive.

A city shaped by encounters, ideas, and constant movement—between sea and land, past and future, local roots and international horizons.

The afternoon of Day 1 was also dedicated to discovering Pordenone through local perspectives.

Accompanied by tour guide Simonetta De Paoli, participants explored the historic city centre, learning about its rich history, elegant arcades, and the remarkable frescoes that have earned it the nickname “the Painted City”.

🇪🇺 CuriosiFVG 2026 has officially begun!

Our first part of the day was all about meeting one another, building new connections, and discovering Casa Zanussi, the home of IRSE and the starting point of our journey.

Through workshops led by Angela Biancat and Tommaso Fabi, participants explored storytelling and communication tools that will help them share the next 12 days of experiences across Friuli Venezia Giulia.

And this is only the beginning.
