It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Professor Kecskés. It was truly an honour to host his last INPRA Conference in Pisa in 2024. We will cherish those memories for years to come. His invaluable contributions to the study of Pragmatics need no explanation: his work has profoundly shaped the field, and his legacy will continue to inspire scholars for generations. He will be deeply missed for his intellectual rigour and the pioneering spirit that defined his scholarship. Our deepest condolences go to his family and friends, Gloria Cappelli and Silvia Bruti.

“And of course our biggest and most sincere “thank you” goes to all participants for making this event a platform for lively debate through your contributions, questions, and comments. It's been a whirlwind of ideas,
conversations, and connections, even though, as the local organisers we were not able to enjoy all the presentations we would have loved to or to talk to all of you. But we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcomes.

As we all head back to our respective corners of the world, let's take the knowledge and inspiration we've gained and turn it into more
opportunities for discussion and continue the conversations we've started here. The true impact of this conference, which has explored the many different façets of intercultural communication and pragmatics, begins
