Our research interests deal with the systematics, ecology and evolution of vascular plants. The research group operates at different geographical scales, including a global perspective and a special focus on Italian (and Mediterranean) endemics. Our activities also include: plant conservation, Red List assessments and seed banking. Research Topics:

Sei docenti del dipartimento tra i top 2% scientists 2026

Oggi è stato pubblicato l'aggiornamento dell'elenco degli scienziati top 100.000 / top 2% (sia per tutta la produzione scientifica, sia per il 2025), curato dalla Stanford University. Il nostro Dipartimento conferma sostanzialmente i numeri dello scorso anno, con 6 ricercatori: Lisandro Benedetti-Cecchi, Fabio Bulleri, Stefano Landi, Elisabetta Palagi, Lorenzo Peruzzi presenti in entrambe le liste, oltre a Paolo Casale presente nell'elenco relativo alla produzione scientifica 2025.

The typification of the Linnaean name Achillea impatiens, based on a specimen preserved in the Linnaean Herbarium (Herb. Linn. No. 1017.9, LINN), has just been published in Italian Botanist.
