🇪🇸 Spanish Sign Language (LSE)

👋 ¿Os habéis fijado en los textos que aparecen junto a los vídeos?

En este tercer vídeo quiero explicaros cómo funcionan.

Junto a cada vídeo en Signos Internacionales encontraréis el texto en inglés. Veréis que algunas palabras aparecen escritas en MAYÚSCULAS.

Cuando hacéis clic sobre una de esas palabras, se abre una ventana con el signo correspondiente en Signos Internacionales.

Es decir, funciona como un pequeño glosario interactivo de inglés y Signos Internacionales.

Solo las palabras que aparecen en mayúsculas forman parte del glosario; las demás no tienen un signo asociado.

Es una forma muy divertida de aprender al mismo tiempo:
🤟 Signos Internacionales.
🇬🇧 Inglés.
🌍 Y también conocer cuentos y lenguas de signos de otros países.

Así que este agosto podéis aprovechar para aprender un montón de cosas…

¡Y en septiembre seréis unos expertos en Signos Internacionales y sabréis todavía más inglés!

Have you seen that? 👀 Hello!!
Before, I told you this is the third explanatory video of the Sign Tales project.
As you have seen on the screen, the videos include their text in English.
In the text, you will see some words written in CAPITAL LETTERS. If you click on a word in capital letters, a video will open showing that word in International Signs.
So, while you are reading the text, if you find a word you don’t understand and it is in capital letters, just click on it to see its meaning in International Signs. If the word is not in capital letters, there is no sign available. OK?
It’s great, isn’t it? 😊 You can learn International Signs and English at the same time. You can also discover other national sign languages from the partner countries. It can be a lot of fun!
So this August, if you’re bored at home, visit the Sign Tales website and learn International Signs, English, and other national sign languages.
And by September, you’ll be fluent in International Signs… and in English! 😄

👋 En el vídeo anterior os expliqué que todos los cuentos están disponibles en Signos Internacionales, pero hay mucho más.
Cada país también ha grabado los cuentos en su propia lengua de signos nacional.
Así podéis ver primero el cuento en Signos Internacionales y después compararlo con la versión en la lengua de signos del país. Si alguna parte no la entendéis, siempre podéis volver a la versión internacional para comprobar el significado.
¡Comparar distintas lenguas de signos es muy interesante!
Además, cada país no solo presenta sus propios cuentos, sino también algunos cuentos de otros países interpretados en su lengua de signos.
Por ejemplo, en España podéis ver:
🇪🇸 Cuentos españoles en LSE.
🌍 Los mismos cuentos en Signos Internacionales.
🤟 Cuentos de otros países interpretados en LSE.
¡Hay muchísimo por descubrir!

Each country has also recorded the stories in its own national sign language.
You can watch a story in International Sign and then compare it with the national sign language version. If you don't understand something, you can always return to the International Sign version.
Comparing different sign languages is really interesting!
Each country not only shares its own stories but also presents selected stories from other countries in its own national sign language.
For example, in Spain you can watch:

There's so much to explore!

🌍 International Sign

Hi again! 👋

By now, you already know that Sign Tales brings together traditional stories from six different countries.

You can watch every story in International Sign, making it a great way to practise and improve your signing skills.

You can also explore the stories in the national sign languages of the partner countries and discover how each language expresses the same story in its own unique way.

Don’t understand a sign? No problem!

Simply switch to the International Sign version, understand the story, and then go back to the national sign language version. It’s a fun way to compare signs and appreciate the richness and beauty of different sign languages.

Because Spain is one of the partner countries, you'll find all the stories in International Sign and a selection of them in Spanish Sign Language

So you can start with International Sign and, if your chosen story is available in Spanish Sign Language, compare both versions and enjoy learning from each one.

🎬 ¿Ya estáis grabando? ¡Genial!
Quiero contaros un poco sobre Sign Tales.
Sign Tales (signtales.eu) es una plataforma online creada dentro de un proyecto europeo para aprender Signos Internacionales a través de cuentos tradicionales de seis países europeos, entre ellos España.
¿Qué cuentos tradicionales españoles conocéis? Os doy unas pistas…
👨🏻 Un hombre muy alto, delgado, con perilla, que siempre va a caballo junto a su fiel amigo bajito y con barriga… ¡Sí! Don Quijote.
👨🏻 Un hombre ciego acompañado por un niño… ¡Exacto! El Lazarillo de Tormes.
Y el tercero… Juana la Loca, una historia muy conocida.
¿Y de Italia? 🇮🇹 ¡Pinocho!
Cada país aporta sus propios cuentos para que podamos conocer su cultura mientras practicamos Signos Internacionales.
Además, cada cuento tiene tres niveles:
⭐ Nivel 1: más sencillo.
⭐⭐ Nivel 2: intermedio.
⭐⭐⭐ Nivel 3: más avanzado.

He’s tall, has a long beard, rides a horse… and is always accompanied by a man with a big belly. 🐴

Every participating country has selected some of its best-known traditional stories and translated them into International Sign.

The Slovenian team has recorded three popular Slovenian stories:
✨ Kekec and Mojca
✨ The Earth has a fever
✨ Little Sleeping Star

All stories are available in Slovenian Sign Language with Slovenian subtitles 🤟

They are also translated into international sign language with English subtitles.

This way we enable:
✔ learning English
✔ learning international sign language
✔ greater accessibility for everyone

Each country participating in the SignTales project has selected three literary works that have been translated into their native language and into their national sign language.

Slovenian team has selected:
✨ Pinocchio (Italy)
✨ Lazarillo de Tormes (Spain)
✨ How the Dog and the Cat Baked a Cake (Czech Republic)

The choice was not easy — we decided on stories that are so interesting, educational and still appeal to readers of all generations. In this way, we want to bring different cultures, languages ​​and stories closer to a wider audience.
