Durante este tiempo hemos formado parte de VET CARE project, un proyecto europeo dedicado al desarrollo de capacidades y formación profesional para personas migrantes que trabajan en el sector de los cuidados en la UE.

📣 12 Μαΐου – Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Νοσηλευτών

Σήμερα τιμάμε το έργο των νοσηλευτών σε όλο τον κόσμο – ανθρώπων που βρίσκονται καθημερινά στην πρώτη γραμμή της φροντίδας υγείας με αφοσίωση, γνώση και ευαισθησία.

Στο "VET CARE project", που στοχεύει στην κατάρτιση φροντιστών και φροντιστριών με μεταναστευτικό υπόβαθρο στην Ευρώπη, αναγνωρίζουμε την αξία της συνεργασίας μεταξύ νοσηλευτών 👩‍⚕️και φροντιστών.
Αν και οι ρόλοι μας είναι διαφορετικοί, έχουμε κοινό σκοπό: την ανθρώπινη φροντίδα με σεβασμό και αξιοπρέπεια.

🙏 Σήμερα λέμε ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους νοσηλευτές για την έμπνευση και την καθοδήγησή τους.

Μαζί χτίζουμε ένα πιο ανθρώπινο σύστημα υγείας.

🤝 FORMA.Azione Giove In Formatica has concluded the Italian peer review of the free, online course we developed for careworkers with migrant background.

📚 The VET CARE Training covers key areas such as soft and digital skills, work environment and safety promotion, health care basics, prevention and emergency response, and safeguarding the mental health and well-being of both assisted person and careworkers. Each module includes videos, hands-on exercises and useful materials for further study.

🙏 Special thanks to the professionals from local organisations and cooperatives and to the careworkers who contributed in making this tool even more effective.

💪 “Social Challenges, Strategic Responses": a title that encapsulates the spirit of the seminar that took place last April 7 at the beautiful Sala Rossa of Palazzo dei Priori in Perugia, as part of our VET CARE project.

🙏 Special thanks to Councillor Costanza Spera and Comune di Perugia for their collaboration and support to FORMA.Azione Giove In Formatica in organizing this valuable exchange opportunity.

🤝 With input from both administration and stakeholders active in the area, we addressed key issues in the long-term care sector, such as effectiveness in matching labour supply and demand, lifelong vocational training, guidance and validation of skills (including non-formal and informal ones) and the importance of the careworkers’ mental and physical wellbeing, with concrete proposals for their support. Positive the response toward strengthening the existing services and implementing new solutions!

🙏 Many thanks also to the representatives and stakeholders who attended: see you soon to continue on our path and look to the future of care with renewed commitment.

💪 "Sfide sociali, risposte strategiche": un titolo che racchiude lo spirito dell'incontro che ha avuto luogo lo scorso 7 aprile presso la bellissima Sala Rossa di Palazzo dei Priori a Perugia, nell’ambito del nostro VET CARE project .

🙏 Un ringraziamento speciale va all’assessora Costanza Spera e al Comune di Perugia per la collaborazione e il supporto nell’organizzazione di questa preziosa occasione di scambio.

🤝 Con il contributo dell’amministrazione e degli stakeholder attivi sul territorio, abbiamo infatti affrontato temi cruciali nel settore della cura a lungo termine, come l'efficacia nell'incontro tra domanda e offerta di lavoro, la formazione professionale continua, l'orientamento e la validazione delle competenze (anche non formali e informali) e l'importanza del benessere psicofisico delle caregiver, con proposte concrete per il loro supporto. Positiva la risposta verso il potenziamento dei servizi esistenti e la messa in atto di nuove soluzioni!

🙏 Grazie anche alle rappresentanti e ai rappresentanti delle parti interessate intervenute: a presto per proseguire nel nostro percorso e guardare al futuro della cura con rinnovato impegno.

No dia 27 de março, entre as 10:00 e as 11:30, o CECOA realizou o primeiro grupo de debate sobre a 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐨 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐞-𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐬, seguindo a lógica da revisão por pares. 🤔 How does a region's economy change with an ever aging population? A service by the region Umbria (IT) news broadcast from February 21st gives some answers to this question.

📝 The piece shared some of the findings from the annual report by DOMINA - National Association of Families of Domestic Workers Employers, which shows us the present and future of the domestic long-term care sector in Italy and in Umbria, FORMA.Azione Giove In Formatica’s region.

📊 Here are some data to better understand the trend:
- in 2050 the over-80s in Umbria will be 116 thousand (+47.8%), compared to 78 thousand girls and boys (0-14 years old; -22%);
- Umbria has 20 domestic workers per 1,000 inhabitants, one of the highest figures in Italy;
- domestic work in Umbria has an impact of 1.2% on regional GDP, compared to a national average of 0.8%: together with the one from Sardinia, this is the highest figure recorded in the country.

🤝 These numbers are reflected in a steadily increasing search for careworkers, reminding us of the importance that these professionals already and will increasingly have in our communities.

📚 The VET CARE project, through the implementation of an online training course aimed at careworkers with a migrant background and the proposal of a fair and effective recruitment model, strives to ensure that the value of this profession emerges as much as possible by focusing on lifelong learning and enhancing the careworkers' skills.

🤔 Come cambia l’economia di una regione in base all’invecchiamento demografico? Un servizio del TGR RAI Umbria dello scorso 21 febbraio dà delle risposte a questa domanda.

📝 Il contributo riporta i risultati del rapporto annuale di DOMINA - Associazione Nazionale Famiglie Datori di Lavoro Domestico, che ci mostra il presente e il futuro del settore della cura a lungo termine in ambito domestico in Italia e nella nostra regione.

📊 Ecco alcuni dati per comprendere meglio l’andamento del fenomeno:
- nel 2050 le/gli ultraottantenni in Umbria saranno 116 mila (+47,8%), a fronte di 78mila bambine e bambini (0-14 anni; -22%);
- l’Umbria conta 20 lavoratrici e lavoratori domestici ogni 1.000 abitanti, uno dei dati più alti in Italia;
- il lavoro domestico in Umbria ha un impatto dell’1,2% sul PIL regionale, contro una media nazionale dello 0,8%: insieme a quello della regione Sardegna, questo è il dato più alto registrato nel nostro Paese.

🤝 Tali numeri si riflettono in una ricerca di assistenti familiari in costante aumento, ricordandoci dell’importanza che queste figure professionali hanno e avranno sempre più nelle nostre comunità.

📚 Il VET CARE project, grazie alla realizzazione di un corso di formazione online rivolto a careworker con background migratorio e alla proposta di un modello di reclutamento equo ed efficace, si impegna per far sì che il valore di questa professione emerga il più possibile, puntando su formazione continua e valorizzazione delle competenze di lavoratrici e lavoratori.
