One week ago, the Amazon closed the circle. More than 2,500 people from 32 nations marched through the streets of Puyo - songs, dances, colors, banners - carrying the voice of the rainforest all the way to the Provincial Governor's Office of Pastaza. There, the seven Indigenous nationalities formally delivered the Declaración Política de Puyuk, declaring a state of emergency for the Amazon biome - and the governor signed it.
From the press conference at Parque de las Nacionalidades to the final steps at Co**ha Acústica, one message rang loud and clear: the Amazon is alive, it has rights, and it will not be silenced.
