The Erasmus+ KA2 project PATH is here to bridge the gap between education and career fulfillment. Our innovative tool for career guidance analyzes seven key layers, providing personalized insights into career and learning possibilities. By aligning educational attainment with job relevance, PATH aims to boost employment rates, productivity, and, most importantly, overall life satisfaction. 💼✨

Did you know that school dropout rates are a significant challenge across the EU? 𝐼𝑛 2023, 9.5% 𝑜𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑑 18-24 𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑦 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠, having completed at most a lower secondary education and not engaged in further education or training. This issue varies across genders and regions, with young men showing a higher dropout rate (11.3%) compared to young women (7.7%). The target for school dropout for the EU is 9% by 2030.

Our Erasmus+ project KA2, PATH, is dedicated to addressing this issue head-on. We are developing a comprehensive career guidance tool composed of 9 layers, focusing on personality traits, professional and personal interests.

🔍 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
- 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Empowering girls with information about career opportunities significantly reduces dropout rates, especially in regions where socio-cultural factors limit female workforce participation.
- 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Hands-on vocational training and direct links to job opportunities keep male students engaged, providing a clear path from education to career.

📊 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
- Towns and suburbs: 10.6% dropout rate
- Rural areas: 9.9% dropout rate
- Southern Europe (e.g., Italy, Greece): Higher dropout rates compared to Northern Europe (e.g., Denmark, Sweden)

This effectiveness can be seen in the consortium Countries: when career guidance is performed qualitatively there is a dropout reduction. In Italy it is about 4.5%, in Greece 1.6%, in Poland 1.4% while in Norway it is 0.8%. To be noted that absolute values of figures in Italy are higher than the one of the others 3 Countries.

The social challenge we're tackling with PATH is the issue of 𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑜𝑓 𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑟 𝑔𝑢𝑖𝑑𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒. We understand that this is not just about individuals but also reflects systemic gaps in education systems across Europe, particularly in the face of widespread youth unemployment.

PATH aims at stepping up to bridge these gaps by addressing the critical need for a comprehensive career "diagnosis" tool. 🎯But also to empower individuals in defining their capacities, attitudes, and professional interests with clarity and confidence.

We are targeting young people, students, and adults (up to 26 years old) to help them navigate their career paths. How? Hello everyone,

We're thrilled to share some highlights from our recent Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) held in beautiful Verdal, Norway 🇳🇴 , from the 26th to the 28th of September.

During this TPM, our project PATH: Professional tool for effective career development reached new milestones and accomplishments. Here's a glimpse of what we achieved:

🔍 We delved into the project's implementation progress, analyzing the state of the art to ensure everything is on track.

📚 We celebrated the completion of the first project result, a significant step towards our goals.

💻 We dedicated time to the development of our project website and platform, making sure it will be a valuable resource for all.

🎨 We're excited to unveil the new visual identity of our platform, a design that reflects our vision and mission.

📢 We also updated our communication strategy, ensuring that we can effectively reach and engage with our audience.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this meeting was reuniting with our incredible partners from Italy, Poland, Greece, and, of course, our gracious hosts in Norway

Last Thursday we held our second meeting 🤝 in Trikala 🇬🇷 hosted by our partner DIAS VET - Educational Organization & EU Projects.

After the launch of the project implementation in June, we developed the first project result focusing on the various professional profiles 🧑‍⚕️👷‍♂️👮‍♀️👨‍🏭👨‍🏫 that are recognized by each partner country and that will be the basement for our innovative tool 💡

Each partner has also explained milestones and time schedule for the Results of which is responsible 📈

Finally, we gather some time for fun and team-building 🫂
