A sacred circle to speak and release the unacknowledged grief, rage, and trauma carried by women living in a patriarchal system that has not recognized us as equals — for over 6,000 years.
This session offers the Truth Mandala, a practice from The Work That Reconnects, held here through the eyes of women — a Deep Time Walk into our/herstory.
We sit in circle, close together, holding a shared container for truth. Four objects — a stone, dry leaves, a stick, an empty bowl — hold our fear, our sorrow, our anger, our emptiness. One by one, whoever feels called steps into the center and speaks — briefly, honestly — while the rest of us witness with a simple refrain: I hear you.
This is not a space to fix or explain the pain. It is a space to let it be spoken, and heard.
Who Is This For?: Women who want to name and release what patriarchy has cost them, and who wish to engage in collective truth-telling rooted in care and connection.
Gift Economy & Contribution: This work is rooted in Gift Economy approach. Those with greater financial capacity support accessibility for others, helping sustain facilitation, the process, and the continuation of this work across different territories.
We invite each participant to choose their contribution with honesty and awareness. No justification is required.
About BestUp APS & Contribution Transparency: This program is organized by BestUp APS, a non-profit association. All contributions are reinvested into the development of the program, the facilitation of the workshops, and the support of participants with fewer financial resources.
The different contribution levels help make the program accessible while also sustaining the work of facilitating and the continuation of these initiatives.

The Truth Mandala practice is from Chapter 7 of Coming Back to Life by Joanna Macy and Molly Brown, part of The Work That Reconnects.
