Drive to Manasarovar and Darshan
After Lhasa we drove to the city of Shigatse where we stopped 1 night and then to the city of Saga. We spent many hours in the bus, playing games and listening to music, all overlooking the tibetan plateau. Views of different kind of animals, from yaks to ponies, horses, deers. The tibetan plateau is a gigantic valley almost bereft of trees given its high altitude, mainly above 4000 metres , which is the home of many important body waters like rivers such as Bramhaputra, where we stopped for some time, and Karnali.
We reached Manasarovar lake, one of the highest freshwater lakes on earth, we stayed the night. In the morning we had darshan beholding the lake. What a serene and peaceful space, such an inviting and alluring body of water, almost embracing and wooing you to the core. The meditation was very powerful, it allowed me to imbibe the energy of the place, its calm and serenity, feelings which stayed with me through the day.
