The last Hanshi 9th dan, Shinichi Inoue,
On the 17th of last month, Inoue Sensei pass away at the age of 98
I pray that your soul may rest in peace

Kyoto Budo center on the 5th of November. Sensei Inoue, holds one of the few 9th Dans for Kendo. At the time of filming I believe he is 87 years of age, and is leading the training of other high-level practitioners.
