Today we visited the town of Chiusi. During our trip we got to visit a shoe factory, that makes high end shoes, explore another Tuscan underground cave, and had a chat with the Deputy Mayor. It was a good day :)

Ended our weekend in Florence with a visit to the Accademia,Gallery home of the famous stature of David by Michelangelo. Other art items of interest included musical instruments and other statures that were also on display..

In Florence for the weekend; visited surrounding sites, where the students shared their knowledge about items they have research prior to our visit. We also walked up the Cupola of the Duomo; a very nice view...

This morning the First-Year Global Fellows had the opportunity to meet with Luciano Garosi, Vice Mayor of Montepulciano. What a great interactive session! Students did very well with asking questions about the community and his role as Vice Mayor as well as their response to those questions the Vice Mayor had for them.
