MOTYKA per i greci, MOTUCA per i romani, MOHAC per gli arabi. Nel corso della sua storia millenaria la città siciliana di Modica ha fatto parte delle più grandi civiltà. E proprio agli arabi, "Scopritori" e grandi consumatori di caffè, ci si volle richiamare quando nel 1967 a Modica fu fondata un'azienda, nuova e antica allo stesso tempo, per la torrefazione e la distribuzione del caffè. MOAK non ha fatto che progredire. In dimensioni, in qualità, in notorietà del marchio. Questo è un piccolo capitolo della grande cultura del caffè. E' la breve storia di una lunga tradizione. Questo è MOAK, il caffè che piace. Lo stabilimento MOAK nasce nel 1967 in un'area di 40 metri quadrati con una piccola tostatrice da 15kg e nel primo anno di attività produce 3.500kg di caffè. Sono gli albori di un'affascinante storia imprenditoriale di passione vera, genuina e profonda per il caffè. MOTYKA for the Greeks, MOTUCA for the Romans, Mohac for the Arabs. The Sicilian city of Modica was part of the greatest civilizations during its thousand-year history. In 1967, when the company was founded in Modica, the name Moak was chosen as a homage to the Arabs who "discovered" coffee and are also avid consumers. From that moment onward Moak kept developing in terms of size, quality and brand prestige. This is a small chapter in the great history of coffee culture. The short story of a long tradition. This is MOAK, the coffee you like. The Moak plant was set up in 1967 in an area of just 40 square metres using a small 15 kg roasting machine which produced 3.500 kg coffee in its first year. This was the beginning of a fascinating entrepreneurial history of real and deep passion for coffee.
