En América Latina y El Caribe, es necesario transmitir el valor educativo de los geositios para su correcto aprovechamiento y protección. En la búsqueda de contribuir con el debate acerca de este contexto en la región, se desarrollará el ciclo de webinars “Geopatrimonio como herramienta para la educación en América Latina y El Caribe".
El objetivo central es conocer la situación actual de cada país en cuanto a patrimonio geológico y geoparques (proyectos) y acciones que permitan su uso como herramienta educativa.
