This Monday’s meeting gave us three very different stories, but all deeply connected by emotion and personal experience.

Elisabetta shared how music has accompanied her throughout life, from childhood memories and gymnastics competitions to concerts, opera, and even her wedding day. Her speech reminded us how music can instantly bring back emotions, lift our mood, and sometimes express what words cannot.

Then Mari brought humor and energy with an honest look behind the scenes of life in sales. Through funny and candid moments, she showed the reality of being a “new business hunter”, full of persistence, human interaction, and unexpected situations.

Finally, Carlo closed the evening with a heartfelt reflection on mentorship, sharing how the example set by his father became the greatest lesson he ever received. His message was simple yet powerful: influence does not come from words alone, but from the way we live and act every day.

This Monday, we listened to speeches that took us to different corners of the world, each one opening a new perspective.

Thomas opened the meeting by taking us on a journey across South America and sharing a powerful insight: we don’t remember life in full, we are more likely to remember the peaks and the endings. Through his travel stories, he reminded us that strong emotions, bold choices, and even imperfect moments are what turn time into lasting memories.

Paul then shifted the focus inward, speaking about the reality of immigrant life, what it means to build a new home in a different country while still feeling deeply connected to the one you left behind. He described the emotional balance between creating belonging in a new culture and carrying memories from the past.

Ever thought about becoming more confident when you speak?
Or expressing your ideas clearly without overthinking every word?

At our Toastmasters meetings, we practice exactly that! In an encouraging environment where growth happens step by step.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to be “a good speaker.”
You just need the willingness to try.

This Monday’s meeting offered us a powerful mix of reflection, intuition, and leadership, three perspectives that connected in surprisingly meaningful ways.

Karina shared a surprising childhood story about discovering that her grandfather had once hidden dynamite in the attic of her home. That moment led her to a simple yet powerful insight: life is fragile and unpredictable, and the real danger isn’t the “dynamite” we fear, but forgetting to truly live.

Carlo then invited us inward, encouraging us to better balance the rational and intuitive sides of our brain. By listening more closely to our unconscious and trusting it, he reminded us that some of our best decisions come not from logic alone, but from intuition we learn to recognize and follow.

Cristina closed the session with a beautiful metaphor, comparing leadership to directing a jazz band. True leadership, she shared, is about listening deeply, setting the rhythm, and creating space for others — allowing each person’s unique strengths to shape the final harmony.

This Monday evening was especially lively with our friends from the Milan-Easy Toastmasters Club. With a big group of guests, we shared plenty of laughs and great energy while enjoying three engaging speeches.

Stefano reminded us that sometimes a little silliness is exactly what we need when life feels heavy. Feeling stuck? Feeling low? Maybe the answer isn’t to overthink it,but to do something a little out of the ordinary and to let our inner child play for a while.

Andy got us thinking with a simple but powerful question: what really matters more, the titles we collect or the skills we build? He suggested a better way to answer “What do you do?”: Be known, not only for what you do but mostly, how you do it.

Giorgio introduced the idea of keeping a gratitude journal as a powerful way to become more conscious of life, and more importantly of ourselves. He shared how noticing and writing down even the smallest things he felt grateful for helped him break out of a negative loop and change his perspective about life.
