🌍 CAL2025: Day 1 Highlights - DeTOKoDE project update 📊

The 5th CAL Conference provided the stage for the presentation of the initial findings from the project, a collaborative effort involving scholars from multiple Italian universities (UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Torino, UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Firenze) and diverse academic disciplines, including law, economics, and finance.

The project, presented by Riccardo de Caria, aims to design a robust framework for a decentralized .

Andrea Piletta Massaro addressed the challenges and opportunities associated with the tokenization of physical assets, such as real estate.

Luca Bellardini proposed a taxonomy of crypto-asset exchanges’ business models, along preliminary findings on the profiles of their investors.

These insights represent significant progress in understanding and managing the complexities of decentralized economies.

Hong Le, UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca: Explored the relationship between Traditional Finance ( ) and Decentralized Finance ( ) in syndicated structures funding blockchain startups.

Michael Wulfsohn, University of Oxford: Presented a theoretical pricing model for cryptocurrencies, incorporating investor expectations on adoption.

Hasret Ozan Sevim, UniversitĂ  Cattolica del Sacro Cuore: Delved into the re-staking process, revealing its potential systemic risks by concentrating vulnerability on select hashtag validators.

Chiara Ferri, UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Firenze, analyzed key deposit-token and tokenized deposit projects, focusing on their technical, legal, and economic dimensions.

Davide Mancino presented data proving the increasing relevance of Maximal Extractable Value Strategies in Ethereum Transactions.
