Thesis Award “Sustainable fishing and aquaculture: from governance to the supply chain”- II Edition. Ambiente Futuro- Youth4Future promoted by Legacoop agroalimentare in collaboration with Randstad.
Nicolò Bacchet is among the 10 winners of the award, with the thesis entitled “Evidence from life history traits of the Lesser-spotted Dogfish Scyliorhinus canicula across a gradient of fishing disturbance off the coast of the Portopalo di Capo Passero (Central Mediterranean Sea) fishing ground” (MSc Marine Sciences 110/110 cm laude) carried out under the supervision of Dr. M. Cristina Mangano (professor of Marine Resources Management at , and researcher at the ) and the co-supervision of Prof. G. Sara (University of Palermo).
Nicolò's study has made it possible to reconstruct information on the biological and ecological responses of the Lesser-spotted Dogfish to varying habitats and growth phases, in an area among the most trafficked, vulnerable and economically important in the central Mediterranean.
Among the speakers: Elena Ghezzi Head of Fisheries and Aquaculture Legacoop Agroalimentare; Cristian Maretti President of Legacoop Agroalimentare; Andrea Castellett Head of Institutional Relations Randstad Group Italy; Eleonora Iacovoni Director of PEMAC IV National policy planning and implementation of European structural policies of Masaf.

GEOBIOLOGY
Did you know about the existence of the geobiology field?
Geobiology is a multidisciplinary study for the understanding and the coevolution of biosphere, hydrosphere and geosphere.
With this discipline is possible to study the principles of biomineralization, bioconstruction and habitat engineers in the contest of the natural archives.
You can learn this and much more in our course on Geobiology, part of the master course MSc Marine Sciences!
