On December 2nd, our teammate Luna Pratali Maffei has been awarded the PhD cm laude in Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, after a successful defense of her thesis "Theoretical and kinetic modeling of the combustion of aromatic hydrocarbons".
A thorough and comprehensive work, performed tirelessly under the supervision of Prof. Tiziano Faravelli, and including a visiting period at Argonne National Laboratory.

On September 19th, Prof. Alberto Cuoci received the award as the fastest employee of Politecnico di Milano at the Polimi Run Spring 2021 (10 km), crossing the finish line in 40 minutes and 8 seconds. To infinity and beyond!

Starting May 1st, Alberto Cuoci will join the Institut fรผr Technische Verbrennung - RWTH Aachen, as an Alexander von Humboldt Experienced Researcher: 18 months in the next 3 years, working on the numerical modeling of particle size distribution and morphology of carbonaceous nanoparticles in reactive flows.
