The research activity at CNST is in the context of Nanoscience and regard two platforms of the IIT (http://www.iit.it/en) scientific plan: Energy and Smart Materials. In particular, the Center operates at the forefront of science and technology of nanomaterials for optoelectronics, focusing on applications in the fields of photovoltaic conversion, photo-detection, and biomimetic systems.
