Photo-activated raster scanning thermal imaging at sub-diffraction resolution Thermal characterization of biological tissues can traditionally provide either large fields of view or high resolution. By the development of super-resolution infrared photo-thermal imaging, the authors reconstruct temperature-based maps of absorptive centers in millimeter-sized biological samples.
