Quando parliamo di università moderna, spesso pensiamo a strutture, programmi e specializzazioni. C’è però una radice più profonda che affonda nei 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶 𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶 tra XVI e XVII secolo.

Un modello educativo che ha saputo unire rigore e attenzione alla persona, metodo e relazione, costruendo percorsi capaci di accompagnare davvero la crescita degli studenti.

Dalla Ratio Studiorum alla diffusione di una rete educativa internazionale, i collegi gesuiti hanno contribuito a dare forma a un’idea di sapere condiviso, aperto e in dialogo con il mondo.

Un’eredità che continua a ricordarci che educare significa formare persone consapevoli, non solo trasmettere conoscenze 💪🏼

When we speak about the modern university, we often think of structures, programs, and specializations. Yet there is a deeper root that traces back to 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

An educational model that was able to combine rigor and attention to the person, method and relationship, building paths that truly support the growth of students.

From the Ratio Studiorum to the development of an international educational network, Jesuit colleges helped shape an idea of knowledge that is shared, open, and in dialogue with the world.

A legacy that continues to remind us that education is not only about transmitting knowledge, but about forming conscious individuals 💪🏼

Quattro incontri intensi che hanno messo attorno a un tavolo virtuale Direttori, Coordinatori, personale amministrativo e Referenti IT/tecnologie. L’obiettivo? Una riflessione condivisa su una trasformazione che tocca da vicino il modo di apprendere, lavorare e relazionarci.

Guidati dall'𝗔𝘃𝘃. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗶, esperto di Privacy applicata all’IA, abbiamo approfondito:
- Aspetti normativi e di governance
- Soluzioni operative per la gestione dei dati
- Strategie per creare un ambiente digitale sicuro

Perché in un tempo di cambiamenti così rapidi, educare significa anche questo: comprendere l'innovazione senza subirla, mantenendo sempre al centro la persona, le relazioni e il bene comune.

Four in-depth sessions brought together headteachers, coordinators, administrative staff and IT/technology officers around a virtual table. The aim? A shared reflection on a transformation that is having a profound impact on the way we learn, work and interact.

Led by 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗶,, an expert in privacy as it relates to AI, we explored:
- Regulatory and governance aspects
- Operational solutions for data management
- Strategies for creating a secure digital environment

Because in a time of such rapid change, education also means this: understanding innovation without simply enduring it, whilst always keeping the individual, relationships and the common good at the centre.

Il 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶 pone al centro il mistero dell’Eucaristia: il pane spezzato e condiviso, segno vivo della presenza di Cristo che si dona.

È una ricorrenza che invita a contemplare la profondità di un gesto semplice e radicale, in cui Dio si fa vicino, si offre e raduna la comunità attorno alla comunione.

Il Corpus Domini richiama alla gratitudine per il dono ricevuto e alla bellezza di una fede che prende forma nella presenza, nella condivisione e nell’amore gratuito.

Un invito a riscoprire il valore del “farsi dono” nella vita quotidiana, lasciandosi guidare da un amore che unisce e rinnova.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶 places at the center the mystery of the Eucharist: the bread broken and shared, a living sign of the presence of Christ who gives Himself.

It is a celebration that invites us to contemplate the depth of a simple yet radical gesture, in which God draws near, offers Himself, and gathers the community around communion.

Corpus Christi calls us to gratitude for the gift we have received and to the beauty of a faith that takes shape through presence, sharing, and selfless love.

An invitation to rediscover the value of “giving oneself” in everyday life, allowing ourselves to be guided by a love that unites and renews.

Ogni anno scolastico è fatto di esperienze, incontri, scoperte 😌

Ma nella pedagogia ignaziana, tutto questo non si ferma alla comprensione.
Il passaggio decisivo è un altro: 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗼̀ 𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶 𝗲̀ 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲.

Riflettere significa rileggere ciò che è accaduto, riconoscere ciò che ha lasciato un segno, comprendere cosa conta davvero.
Agire significa lasciare che tutto questo prenda forma nella vita di ogni giorno.

È qui che l’apprendimento diventa trasformativo: quando ciò che si è capito diventa ciò che si sceglie.

Accompagniamo gli studenti proprio in questo passaggio, perché possano diventare persone capaci di orientare la propria vita con libertà, responsabilità e consapevolezza.

Perché educare non è solo trasmettere contenuti, ma aiutare a fare scelte che costruiscono il futuro 💪🏼


Every school year is made up of experiences, encounters, and discoveries 😌

In Ignatian pedagogy, however, all of this does not stop at understanding.
The decisive step is another: 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

To reflect means to revisit what has happened, to recognize what has left a mark, to understand what truly matters.
To act means allowing all of this to take shape in everyday life.

This is where learning becomes transformative: when what has been understood becomes what is chosen.

We accompany students precisely in this transition, so that they may become people capable of guiding their lives with freedom, responsibility, and awareness.

Because educating is not only about transmitting knowledge, but about helping to make choices that build the future 💪🏼

L’intelligenza artificiale sta trasformando il nostro modo di vivere, comunicare e apprendere. Ma quale spazio resta per la persona? 🌍

Con l’enciclica 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀, 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗫𝗜𝗩 invita a riflettere sul rapporto tra tecnologia e dignità umana, ricordando che nessun progresso può sostituire ciò che rende autenticamente umano l’incontro, la libertà, il pensiero critico e la responsabilità.

Nel documento, il Papa richiama con forza il valore dell’educazione come luogo in cui accompagnare le nuove generazioni a vivere la tecnologia con consapevolezza, senza perdere la capacità di ascoltare, discernere e costruire relazioni autentiche.

Per la pedagogia ignaziana, questa sfida riguarda profondamente il presente: educare significa aiutare i giovani a sviluppare uno sguardo critico e libero, capace di mettere la tecnologia al servizio della persona e del bene comune 🤝


Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we live, communicate, and learn. But what place remains for the human person? 🌍

With the encyclical 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀, 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗼 𝗫𝗜𝗩 invites us to reflect on the relationship between technology and human dignity, reminding us that no form of progress can replace what is authentically human: encounter, freedom, critical thinking, and responsibility.

In the document, the Pope strongly reaffirms the value of education as the place where new generations can be accompanied in living with technology consciously, without losing the ability to listen, discern, and build authentic relationships.

From an Ignatian pedagogical perspective, this challenge deeply concerns the present: educating means helping young people develop a critical and free outlook, capable of placing technology at the service of the person and the common good 🤝

Condividere esperienze, costruire visioni comuni, educare a una cittadinanza globale sempre più consapevole 🌍

𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶̀ 𝟮𝟮 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗼, presso la sede della Fondazione Gesuiti Educazione a Milano, si è tenuto l’incontro di 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗲.

💡 Il vero cuore dell’incontro è stato la condivisione delle best practices nate nei diversi territori e l'ascolto profondo dei desiderata espressi da ogni scuola. Un patrimonio di idee e di bisogni concreti da cui partiremo per costruire, insieme, i passi e i progetti del prossimo anno scolastico.

Attraverso testimonianze, pratiche educative e momenti di dialogo, sono stati approfonditi temi centrali come partecipazione, sviluppo sostenibile, giustizia e pace, valorizzando i percorsi già attivi a Milano, Torino, Roma, Palermo, Messina, Scutari e Malta 🌱

Perché educare alla cittadinanza globale significa formare persone consapevoli, aperte al dialogo e capaci di vedere nel bello, il bellissimo che dà senso a ogni cosa 🤝


Sharing experiences, building common visions, and educating for an increasingly conscious global citizenship 🌍

𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟮, at the headquarters of Fondazione Gesuiti Educazione in Milan, the Network Meeting of 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.

💡 The true heart of the meeting was the sharing of best practices developed across the different schools and the deep listening to the needs and aspirations expressed by each educational community. A valuable heritage of ideas and concrete needs from which we will begin to build, together, the projects and pathways of the next school year.

Through testimonies, educational practices, and moments of dialogue, key themes such as participation, sustainable development, justice, and peace were explored, highlighting the initiatives already active in Milan, Turin, Rome, Palermo, Messina, Scutari, and Malta 🌱

Because educating for global citizenship means forming people who are aware, open to dialogue, and capable of recognizing, within beauty, the deeper beauty that gives meaning to all things 🤝

𝗟'𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮 ⛪️

Nel Seicento, mentre l’Europa esportava modelli culturali e religiosi, un gesuita scelse una strada diversa.

𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶, missionario a Madurai, comprese che il cristianesimo non poteva essere presentato come una religione “straniera”, legata all’Europa e ai portoghesi.
Per questo studiò le lingue locali, adottò uno stile di vita vicino alla tradizione brahminica e cercò di annunciare il Vangelo dentro le categorie culturali indiane.

Il suo metodo, chiamato accomodatio, suscitò forti controversie ma venne riconosciuto legittimo da Papa Gregorio XV nel 1623. La sua esperienza aprì una riflessione decisiva sul rapporto tra fede e cultura, anticipando il tema dell’inculturazione che sarebbe diventato centrale nei secoli successivi.

𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ⛪️

In the seventeenth century, while Europe was exporting cultural and religious models, a Jesuit chose a different path.

𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶, a missionary in Madurai, understood that Christianity could not be presented as a “foreign” religion, tied to Europe and the Portuguese.
For this reason, he studied local languages, adopted a lifestyle close to the Brahmin tradition, and sought to proclaim the Gospel within Indian cultural categories.

His method, called accommodatio, sparked strong controversy but was recognized as legitimate by Pope Gregory XV in 1623. His experience opened a decisive reflection on the relationship between faith and culture, anticipating the theme of inculturation that would become central in the centuries to come.

Nelle scuole gesuite è un percorso che unisce apertura all’altro, servizio, giustizia e missione. La Fondazione continua a lavorare per integrare sempre di più questa dimensione nel 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 degli studenti, valorizzando le esperienze di solidarietà, i gemellaggi, le iniziative formative e la rete nazionale e internazionale delle nostre scuole.

Rafforzare la rete significa educare a uno sguardo più ampio, capace di leggere il mondo con responsabilità e consapevolezza 🤝

In Jesuit schools, it is a path that brings together openness to others, service, justice, and mission. The Foundation continues to work to further integrate this dimension into the students’ 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺, enhancing experiences of solidarity, partnerships, educational initiatives, and the national and international network of our schools.

Strengthening the network means educating to a broader perspective, capable of reading the world with responsibility and awareness 🤝
