💥 The Italian Job: Italy attack first !

😇“Corruptio optimi pessima“👹

🥰 Italy is traditionally a very peaceful country and a friend of all.

However, Cold (Italy buys 40% of its gas needs from Russia at increasingly unsustainable conditions) and Hunger (Italy's public debt is equal to 2,573.5 billion euros, 155.6 per cent of GDP) could corrupt even the most peaceful country in the world.

🎯“Think the unthinkable, dare the undareable” 🔝

Italy is located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, at the crossroad of three continents (Europe, Asia, Africa) and so it suffers all their crises!

The Italian Armed Forces, although certainly not those of a great power, rank however around 11th position worldwide. Point of excellence of the Italian armed forces has always been the Navy. Italy also has an excellent military industrial apparatus.

There is a difference between what a Country wants to be and what a country could do. This distinction becomes evident in times of crisis.

⚔️ “Tora Tora Tora” 💥

In year 1941, Japan attacked the United States without warning at Pearl Harbor.

Only 2400 km separate Sicily from Tartus (main Russian bases in Mediterranean).

Libya has been removed from Italy's sphere of influence by Russia and Turkey and they have established military installations.

Italian Navy Special Corps in WW2 were capable to sink any enemy ship everywhere in Mediterranean.

Right now, many Russian military and intelligence ships sail undisturbed along the Italian coasts, under the apparently inattentive eyes of Italy…

🔐“The Italian Keys of the Mediterranean Gates” 🏖

Approximately every 260 days the entire amount of Italian public debt passes through the Suez Canal (and therefore the Mediterranean).

Practically the commercial wealth of the great, powerful and rich China that passes right through the “Italian Gates of the Mediterranean”.

🐻🦖 “Bear and (may be) Dragon counterattack…” 💥

… even if attacking Italy is not so easy.

There are just 3 ways:
1. A nuclear attack. But the implications are well known….
2. A land attack. Italy is not so easily attacked by land, just take a map….
3. An Air and Sea attack. A Pacific war scenario like US vs.Japan in WW2. But the advantage would be all of the "Italian carrier", unsinkable ...

🤗“An offer that cannot be refused” 💶

Italy would be pleased to accept a generous sign of peace and friendship in the Mediterranean from Russia and China.

After all, Russia could easily provide its gas to Italy for free (Russia has so much of gas ...).

After all, China could easily pay off Italy's public debt (China has so much of money ...).

🔐 The Italian Keys of the Mediterranean Gates.

😢The dramatic events we are witnessing in Ukraine, in addition to deeply saddening any peace-loving human being, are nevertheless also an opportunity to reflect on the geopolitical dynamics affecting the various countries of the world.

🎯This also applies to Italy. Italy has always been in a very difficult geopolitical position: located in the middle of the Mediterranean, at the crossroads of three continents (Europe, Asia, Africa), it suffers all the tensions and crises.

🎲 The geopolitical position of Italy was made even more difficult by the loss of its sphere of influence due to the armed intervention of Russia and Turkey which took Libya from it. Ironically: Italy is the only country that has a tough geopolitical confrontation both with a country formally its ally in NATO and with a country that is by definition hostile to NATO. ⚔️ A diplomatic confrontation for the moment but which in the future is inevitably destined to lead to other kinds of confrontation as well, obviously Italy cannot resign itself to the status quo because it is too risky for its own national security.

🔐 However, Italy also has point of strenght: it actually holds the keys to the two gates that close the Mediterranean like a portcullis and therefore the maritime trade route that passes through it. The Sicilian Canal has a minimum width of only 150 km while the Otranto Canal has a minimum width of just 70 km. Two canals therefore quite controllable, even in a though and assertive manner, if necessary, by the Italian Armed Forces.

⚓️ The Italian Armed Forces, although certainly not those of a great power, still rank around 11th position worldwide. Point of excellence of the Italian armed forces has always been the navy and the feared special operations navy forces that are capable of sinking any military ship in any part of the Mediterranean Sea. ⚙️ The Italian Armed Forces are in turn supported by an important military industrial apparatus (Italy is the second manufacturing country in the EU).

🛳📦 In fact, all the mercantile flow arriving from the Suez Canal (and therefore from the Indo-Pacific, China above all) passes through the "gates of the Mediterranean", part of which goes to Germany (a country that has always been very critical of excessive Italian public debt) . 💵 It is estimated that around 9.6 billion dollars per day pass through the Suez Canal. 💶 To give an idea, in about 260 days the equivalent of all the Italian public debt (in 2020, about 2460 billion euros) will pass through the "Gates of the Mediterranean"!
