🥳 Today we had our Kick-off Meeting (KoM) for the official launch of MOZART EU Project.
The KoM took place remotely 💻 and in particular, we focused on:
✔️ Getting to know better each partner of the consortium
✔️ Presenting the 8 Work Packages (WP), deliverables and milestones
✔️The next steps for the first months of the project

📝 Stay tuned to get to know about MOZART project!

Great achievement for project Sinergy on innovative redox flow batteries promoted by PhD students at SEE Lab! Congratulations!

Davide Moscatelli, Rector’s Delegate to Exploitation of Research and TT, Politecnico di Milano. 🔎🔎
Sometimes you may wonder what are our goals.
-
The overall goal this ecosystem is to set up and operate a fully sustainable ecosystem related to the upscaling of materials and end-user driven lightweight metal matrix composites, mainly demonstrated in the automotive and aerospace sectors. It will be represented by a Non-Profit Organization that will act as the Single-Entry Point for accelerating rapid market uptake.
👇
Our mission is to provide:
• Open facilities (Pilot Lines) at the EU level accessible to users across Europe;
• Improved industrial process parameters and faster verification of materials performance for highly promising applications;
• Improvement in industrial productivity, reliability, environmental performance, durability, and reduction of life-cycle costs of these materials;
• Indirect reduction in energy consumption across sectors using lighter materials in their products and processes;
• Access to various funding schemes (for SMEs in particular), for investing in these materials or in applications using them, accompanied with tailor-made business plans developed by AXIA Innovation in cooperation with SD Partners.

This is a little taste of who we are and what we do. To fully know us, go to: http://lightme-ecosystem.eu/

Don't worry, we're here 😉

Just a quick reminder of who/what is LightMe Project.
We are a project funded by European Commission with partners from 13 European countries.
The main target is on the setting up of a self-sustainable open innovation ecosystem for the upscaling of industrial processes concerning lightweight metal alloys (aluminum, magnesium and titanium) composites.

The LightMe Ecosystem will provide the necessary infrastructure (6 Pilot Lines – PL) and knowhow for upscaling the new materials concepts related to lightweight Metal Matrix nano-Composites and advance materials, in a cost effective and sustainable way.

This is who we are!

High-energy long-cycling all-solid-state lithium metal batteries enabled by silver–carbon composite anodes 17/03/2020

During this hard time, we decided to temporarily suspend all the experimental activities because the prevention from the COVID-19 is a top priority.
But Science never stops!
Here are some nice papers suggested by us:

High-energy long-cycling all-solid-state lithium metal batteries enabled by silver–carbon composite anodes Solid-state Li metal batteries represent one of the most promising rechargeable battery technologies. Here the authors report an exceptional high-performance prototype solid-state pouch cell made of a sulfide electrolyte, a high-Ni layered oxide cathode and, in particular, a silver–carbon composit...
