Multiplier events in Slovakia 🎲🏆🔥

We are extremely pleased with the interest of experts in the board game we created! 😎🥳

This time, a big group of teachers 🦸‍♀️🦸 and experts 🦹‍♂️🦹 working in the field of education in various non-governmental organizations had a chance to play the game "Important decisions".

Thanks to them, many children and young people will be able to gain a lot of new knowledge in the field of finance or social justice and practice how to make good life decisions - even after this project ends! 👍🤞

Being able to play the final version of our game for the first time with students and teachers was a fantastic experience! 💪💪💪

We enjoyed immensely their interest, the many additional questions and ideas on how they will bring this game to their schools and play it with all students and teachers. 🥰😊

Multiplier events in Slovakia 🎲🏆🔥

It was indeed an exciting and sometimes a bit challenging ride! 🌪🌤🌈 The target group for which our game is intended (children aged 13+) can be quite critical! 🤪

However, we really appreciated all comments of the students 🧝‍♀️🧝🧝‍♂️ from the elementary school in Zlaté Moravce - they helped us to improve the game, to add some important aspects and educational moments and, on the contrary, on the basis of their feedback we have completely abandoned some game elements.

Thanks to their ideas, our graphic designer 👩‍💻 refined the game layout to make it even more engaging for the youth. 💪

We are very happy to be able to offer our target group a high quality, interesting and a very informative board game called "Important Decisions" ("Dôležité rozhodnutia" in Slovak).

We have thoroughly enjoyed the whole design and testing process - we have spent hours talking with young people 💁‍♀️💁‍♂️ and experts 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ about how to improve and adapt the game to respond to the actual situations they encounter.

And we also really enjoyed the process of creating the graphic design 🎨🖌🖍🖱, which was carried out for us by a talented young Slovak graphic design student. 👩‍💻 We are glad that thanks to this project she got a chance to show her mastery!

How the Slovak team created the game 🎲🏆🔥

The Slovak version of the game went through a long process - the development took several months and, in addition to the main creators, the product was intensively tested and commented on by a number of teachers, education experts and children.

A lot has changed since then - we have modified not only the name of the game, but also its mechanics to make it as interesting and beneficial as possible for our target group. 🤞

Here is the challenge of the Hungarian team, that aims to make young people more conscious about their powers and weaknesses, by the means of questioning, active listening and cooperation.

The participants of the game have the chance to go deeper understanding what "true colors" they are made of, and better identify themselves for entering the labour market for their first time.

All our Aflagame Erasmus+ projects are based on the theory of Gamification 🎲

What does 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 mean❓

The Gamification approach moves the games to non-ludic contexts (ex. schools or companies) and uses their designs, principles and elements in order to stimulate learning, increase motivation, teamwork and engagement of the users involved.

Its proved successful results brought this approach to be used in more and more contexts, such as Tourism, Marketing, Arts and Culture, Business Management and more.

The ultimate part of the project concerned the Playtesting of the outputs. ✍️

Each partner had proceeded step by step to refine its own creature, until they got ready to be performed to an audience for the first time.

The Testing phase is fundamental in a participatory International project, in order to get feedback about the effectiveness of the games mechanics, objectives and target audience.

We organized the Hungarian Multiplier Event of the Aflagame Erasmus+ project last Wednesday in the Erste HQ in Budapest. More than 90 participants (teachers, youth workers, finance professionals and students) from more than 20 organizations had the opportunity to get to know the results of the Aflagame project, as well as to play the Hungarian board game "You are Enough" developed in the project. The whole day was filled with joy and learning.🥰
