LZX - CADET SERIES eurorack/video modules

In general sense, I focused to single modules that give the chance of using audio, eurorack modules you already have, to generate and manipulate video signals.
Cadet series menages composite video signal as input, sync, output. as explained in links below, video signal works mostly on 0-1V signals, so hotter signals need to be attenuated and pushed to unipolar (if precise control if needed).
II RGB ENCODER gives you the COMPOSITE VIDEO OUT to go to a composite video in on a screen, video projector, video mixer and so on. this is the suitable VIDEO OUT for the Eurorack to Composite Video work
it NEEDS CADET I SYNC GEN
I SYNC GENERATOR gives the SYNC signal NEEDED to have a working video system. It uses an internal bus on its own distribution cable on the rear. Module (so the whole system) can also SYNC to an external video via RCA VIDEO IN
III COMPOSITE EXTERNAL VIDEO INPUT. accepting composite video from external gear, it gives an eurorack compatible signal
suitable to be used, for example, at the place of a lfo/vco signal in R, G or B input. it gives a monochromatic image on the chosed color level. it can be used directly, or mangled by eurorack modules, an so on.
composite video out (buffered) can be used with the sync in of CADET I to sync the system to the external video signal or going to ext. video mixer, display etc
module has brightness and contrast pots acting on LUMA eurorack output (used
buffered composite video output doubles the input, to feed fourther gears, as CADET I to be synced to the external comp video signal, a (comp) video mixer and so on
IX VCO. designed to be used on video path, so voltage output and horizontal / vertical and sync capability give easy signal generation

CADET I
Generates the master timing signals required for modular video synthesizer in both NTSC and PAL formats.
1xRCA composite VIDEO IN to be synced to external video signals (CADET III or ext dvd or camera etc.)
1xRCA composite VIDEO OUT (same as input, buffered)
3x eurorack signal out: 3 different sync signals, useful to sync other modules to have stable visualization, if needed, or as reference for manipulation (multiplication, division, delay...)
as in user manual cadet serie uses cv/gate to carry horizontal and vertical sync pulses
CADET II
RGB ENCODER
It gives the COMPOSITE VIDEO RCA OUT (2x)
The output composite video signal is generated from the 3 signal at RED, GREEN, BLUE inputs, accepting eurorack modules sub-audio to audio rate, but responding on 0-1V. so signals need to be scaled to act as expected (usually modular levels are +-5V in LFOS/VCOS)
CADET II NEEDS the sync signal from CADET I module, from the internal 14 pin sync bus
NB: It does not work without a suitable sync signal in sync bus
CADET III
VIDEO INPUT input amplifier, it is best used for monochromatic input cameras or devices with Genlock capability.
1xRCA composite external VIDEO IN (camera, dvd, any composite video gear)
1xRCA composite video out (same as input signal, buffered, to be connected to CADET I RCA VIDEO IN so the system can be synced to external signal, for example. Or going to external videomixer, display etc.)
LUMA OUT eurorack output, result of the 2 pots manual settings Contrast and Dispaly. 1 signal, suitable to be used, for example to R, G, B input channel giving a monochromatic version of video on input. thins output can be addressed to eurorack modules to be processed before going the the RGB encoder CADET II
CADET IX
VCO Cadet IX Voltage Controlled Oscillator is a wideband triangle core VCO designed for video synthesis.
1x eurorack signal out
1x CV in with bipolar attenuator
SYNC switch. can be synced to have stable visualization, if needed, or not synced, to be free run.
HORIZONTAL/ VERTICAL switch. can act as horizontal or vertical video signal generator (difficult to obtain using audio vcos)
