“Silenziosi...ma mai fermi!”
Ebbene si, dopo oltre un anno di silenzio radio, siamo di nuovo qui per darvi qualche buona notizia.
Quest’anno di pandemia ha notevolmente ostacolato le nostre attività...ma per fortuna, un’idea dietro l’altra, è stato possibile creare un documento che potesse raccogliere una serie di proposte per lo sviluppo del nostro campus. Che proposte?
Eccole qui:
1. ideazione di una copertura per creare un’aula verde nell’ex piazzetta per le lauree ( foto 1 &2)
2. recupero dello spazio interno del Pentagono per una maggior fruizione ( foto 3)
3. creazione di una prateria semi-naturale e
4. miglioramento della biodiversità del bosco di Agripolis per favorire lo “studio a Km 0” della botanica e dell’ecologia dei due habitat
Assieme ai dipartimenti TeSAF e DAFNAE, abbiamo sottoposto un documento con tutti i dettagli al bando di Ateneo per il miglioramento della didattica: ormai non ci resta che incrociare le dita e sperare di essere selezionati!
Infine, come qualcuno avrà notato nei giorni scorsi, c’è stata qualche prova tecnica di sfalci differenziati sui prati del nostro campus. Dopo aver discusso con l’amministrazione del Polo è stato possibile individuare delle aree e dei periodi in cui si andrà a sfalciare meno, in modo da garantire una permanenza e uno sviluppo maggiore della vegetazione erbacea e, perchè no, delle fioriture che un prato all’inglese invece non offre.

“Quiet… but always on the move!”
After a year of radio silence, we are here bringing some good news.
The pandemic has greatly hindered our activities, but luckily, step by step, it was possible to develop a document collecting important ideas for sustainability at the campus. But what are these proposals?
Here they are:
1. Establishment of a Green Room on the paved square close to the Stecche currently used for degree celebrations and lunch ( Image 1 & 2);
2. Renovation, greening and revitalization of the inner square in the Pentagono building (image 3).
3. Creation of a semi-natural grassland across the campus;
4. Improvement of biodiversity management in the Agripolis forest, in order to encourage the study of botany and ecology of both the forest and grassland closer to the campus itself.
Together with DAFNAE and TESAF departments, we just submitted a detailed document about our proposals under the University Call for Improvement of Teaching. Now we keep fingers crossed to get selected and funded and finally to start the work!
Last, but not least, in the last few days there have been several trials in differentiated mowing (cutting the grass to different lengths) in the campus. After discussing with Agripolis Administration, areas and periods for decreasing grass cuts have been identified. The aim is to ensure the permanence and development of a blooming and pollinator-friendly vegetation cover that english lawns do not offer.
