BEE Lab is first made by people, young and experienced scientists, with a strong background in Building Architectural Engineering, who collaborate as a unique, but multisite team by Politecnico di Milano and Università degli Studi di Brescia.

[English below] ❓ Lo sapevi che in molte regioni italiane oltre il 70% dei tetti degli edifici NON è isolato?
📉 Secondo gli OpenData degli edifici scolastici (Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito), regioni come Toscana (75,6%), Sicilia (75,3%), Basilicata (73,2%), Calabria (72,9%) e Liguria (71,4%) registrano percentuali molto alte di edifici con tetti non isolati.
➡️ Questo significa dispersioni termiche più elevate, ma anche maggiore possibilità di surriscaldamento in estate in regioni in cui l’irradianza solare estiva non è trascurabile.
🔍 Al contrario, alcune aree del Centro-Nord come Val D’Aosta (73,8%), Lombardia (46,7%), Piemonte (44,7%), Veneto (44,0%) e Molise (43,5%) mostrano percentuali più alte di tetti già isolati.
🏠 L’isolamento del tetto è una delle soluzioni più efficaci e a volte più semplici per migliorare l’efficienza energetica e il comfort abitativo.

☀️ Summer break is coming, so it is time to pause ⏸️, but it doesn’t mean shutting down, for the BEE Lab, it means regenerating ourselves after the first 7th intense months of 2025, in which we have achieved many challenges:
📌 BEE team grows up as a small community with new connections around the world and new members,
📌 BEE Lab reached educational achievements and recognitions that speak of our commitment to making a concrete and lasting impact on the built environment,
📌 BEE Lab has continued to shape our idea of being marked by growth, vision, and relationships.

⏳Now is the time to take a break for recharging our batteries and for coming back with new energy, new ideas, and new projects to develop together 🙏.
‼️Even if, to be honest, there is already something brewing 🫧, so stay tuned for news from BEE Lab in September!

We had the pleasure of hosting professor Ying Hua from -U.S. Great conversations, collaborative ideas, and lots of inspiration for future work and cooperation in research and teaching. Looking forward to what’s ahead!

❓ Come si misura il nostro impatto sul pianeta? Quali strategie possiamo adottare per ridurre le nostre emissioni? E cosa significa davvero progettare in modo sostenibile?

👉 A partire da queste domande, il gruppo di ricerca del .polimi laboratorio intersede del Politecnico di Milano dip. ABC e dell'Università degli Studi di Brescia dip. DICATAM, ha guidato gli studenti della Scuola Sec. I grado "M.Kolbe" 🏫 per una mattinata di formazione su tre ♻️ parole chiave per l’ambiente costruito:
✅ sostenibilità,
✅ economia circolare,
✅ ricerca.

📚 Le attività di didattica innovativa hanno previsto la combinazione di momenti di lezione frontale, in cui sono stati investigati e calcolati:
👣 l’impronta ecologica;
♻️ l'impronta carbonica;
🌎 l’Overshoot Day.
con attività pratiche esperienziali per mettere in pratica quanto appreso e stimolare il pensiero critico e l’interesse attivo degli studenti.

🙏 Un ringraziamento speciale va anche agli studenti delle classi terze e ai professori della scuola Kolbe per la loro partecipazione, l’entusiasmo e la curiosità dimostrata, certi che il percorso insieme sarà sempre più accattivante e interessante avendo accettato la proposta della prof. Sesana di divenire scuola pilota per il RERoadS project
