Letโs look back at some key local events for senior learners!
The BonJour! local pilot in Madeira by My Madeira Island brought together about 50 participants aged 55 to 96 from Sociohabitafunchal, E.M. for a creative and inspiring media literacy experience.
Together, they explored how to recognise reliable information, understand the media, and use digital tools with more confidence - and then became media creators themselves.
During the pilot, participants created their own newspaper and videos, sharing stories, ideas and perspectives through journalism and digital creativity.

The BonJour! Project planned the Blended learning delivery method for the training platform. Based on the experienced, the partner EBI did a profound analyse, integrating the insights and new experiences.
Blended Learning is often presented as a modern and effective educational approach โ but how clear and meaningful is the concept in practice? This article offers a critical reflection on its limitations and argues for more precise, pedagogically grounded frameworks such as Flipped Learning 3.0.

I found this image on Facebook, with a remark about the clothes of the two women. The image looks nice - but is it a real photo, or is it AI created?
Itโs hard to say at first glance. The white dressed woman looks not real "natural" - so I suspected it had been generated by AI. Any proof?
I asked the AI itself (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot). The feedback from Copilot is quite interesting:
Based on the visible details, the image is very likely not AIโgenerated but instead a real photograph. The reasons:
* Hands, feet, shadows โ all consistent
AIโgenerated images often reveal themselves through:
* deformed hands or fingers
* illogical shadows
* strange transitions around feet or sandals
In this image:
* the fingers are correctly shaped
* the sandals look realistic
* shadows and lighting are coherent
Architecture and background details - AI often struggles with:
signs
text
correctly aligned building faรงades
The โESSOโ sign, the shutters, balconies, and cobblestones all appear photorealistic and properly aligned.
Clothing and fabrics
The folds, transitions, and fabric textures look natural. AI frequently produces:
illogical patterns
merged or distorted fabric edges
asymmetrical or inconsistent details
None of those issues appear here.
Faces and body proportions
Even though the faces are not fully frontal, the:
proportions
movement
posture
โฆall look completely realistic.

The Training Course for the 55+ target group uses Blended Learning as the delivery method (as described in the application). Here is an article about this way of delivering content.
This course can be used with a simple Blended Learning approach but works best with a Flipped Learning 3.0 implementation.

๐It was them who would chance the perilous journey through blistering cold and icy pavement surface, travelling for many minutes, risking climbing the stairs to reach the Bonjour! pilot activity ๐ซ
