Portugal bound! šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹āœˆļø

There’s something pretty exciting about heading off on an overseas adventure - new places, new people, new experiences… and this time, a business event woven into the journey too.

It’s also had me thinking about why so many people start looking for a remote business.

For me, it wasn’t about walking away from work I loved.

I wanted another option - more flexibility, more choice, and the ability to build something alongside the work I was already doing.

And today, that journey continues in Portugal.

Very excited for what’s ahead. šŸ¤

Could a remote business be part of your next chapter too?

Portugal in two days. šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹

A to-do list that seems to be getting longer rather than shorter. šŸ˜‚

And after Saturday’s hike, I’m still feeling a little stiff, so I’ve just finished a much-needed stretching session.

It would have been very easy to look at everything I need to get done and decide I didn’t have time for it this morning.

But I’m learning that the things that keep me feeling good are often the first things to go when life gets busy.

Movement.
Fresh air.
A little space to reset.

So this morning, the list could wait for a little while.

Stretching done. āœ“

Now… back to that list. šŸ˜‚

You can be grateful for your life and still know something needs to change.

You’ve worked hard.
Built a career.
Created a good life.

And yet, what you want from life can change.

Maybe time matters more now.
Maybe you want more freedom over your week.
Maybe you’ve started wondering:

Is this how I want the next 10 or 20 years to look?

You don’t have to be burnt out or unhappy to want something different.

Sometimes what worked in one season simply doesn’t fit the next.

More choice.
More flexibility.
More purpose.
More life around the work.

What would you like more of? šŸ¤

These are the days. šŸ¤

Our son and his girlfriend are home for the weekend.

Markets this morning.
A little pickleball.
Then back home for afternoon tea with Mum and Dad. šŸ¤

Three generations around the table.

Nothing elaborate. And yet, these are the moments that make life feel incredibly full.

The people you love.
Time together.
A little adventure.
A lot of laughter.

I’ve always been grateful for days like these — and I never want to take them for granted.

Just being present for the life happening right in front of you.

One life.

And today, I get to spend a little more of mine with some of my favourite people. šŸ¤

Happy Sunday.

Not saying I’m an expert scuba diver šŸ˜‚ā€¦ but I’m so glad I just started.

If I’d waited until I felt completely confident, knew exactly what I was doing or felt ā€œreadyā€, I would have missed out on some pretty incredible experiences. 🤿🐠🌊

And I think that’s true of so many things in life.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to be willing to start. šŸ¤

I jumped onto our early morning team call today and came away with so much wisdom and so many practical tools.

We had the opportunity to learn from one of the founders of the business, along with Myles, a fellow business owner whose story really inspires me.

Before this business, Myles spent 30 years as a supplier and manufacturer to the building industry, at one point employing up to 120 staff - a life that came with enormous responsibility, pressure and sacrifice.

Today, life looks remarkably different.

For the past 13 years, he’s built a global online business with no staff or fixed trading hours.

In fact, he’s affectionately known in our community as ā€œMyles from Anywhereā€ because he and his wife are rarely home - they’re usually off travelling somewhere in their van.

Recently, they spent a month in Vietnam while he continued working remotely, generating over $20K AUD profit. Soon after returning home, they headed off again in their van, where he generated another $25K AUD profit over two weeks.

Those results aren’t unusual for Myles after 13 years in the business - but the numbers aren’t what inspires me most.

He hasn’t just built a successful business.
He’s built a business around the life he wants to live.

For me, his story is a reminder of what’s possible when you’re intentional about the life you want to create.

More freedom. More flexibility. More choice over where and how he spends his time.

Today, he generously shared some of what he’s learnt with those of us still building our own path.

Very grateful for the people I get to learn from - and excited about the path I’m creating for myself. šŸ¤

For a long time, life gives us a pretty clear set of milestones.

Build the career. Raise the family. Pay the bills. Be responsible. Keep going.

And then something shifts.

The children need you differently. Your priorities change. Time suddenly feels more valuable. And you start questioning whether the life you’ve been living is necessarily the life you want for the next 10, 20 or 30 years.

That’s where I found myself.

I didn’t want to throw away everything I’d built.
I wanted to know what else was possible.

That question eventually led me to explore another business path alongside the work I already loved - and to start thinking very differently about how I wanted my future to look.

Maybe the question isn’t, ā€œWhat’s wrong with my life?ā€

Maybe it’s simply:

What do I want now?

And if you know the answer, I’d genuinely love to hear it. šŸ¤

Don’t leave your life to chance.

It’s easy to move from one day to the next - responding to what needs to be done, meeting everyone else’s expectations and telling yourself you’ll make changes when the timing is better.

But a fulfilling life rarely happens by accident.

It’s created through the choices you make about where your time, energy and attention go.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You simply need to stop waiting for life to become what you want - and begin choosing it on purpose.

One way I’ve put this into practice is through the way I work - building a business around the life I want, rather than building my life around my work. It gives me the opportunity to work with purpose while creating greater flexibility and choice for the future.

If building your work around the life you want is something you’ve been thinking about, send me a message. I’d be happy to share what I’m doing. šŸ¤

The Weekend’s here! šŸ¤

We’re kicking it off with a sneaky little walk 🄾 - I adore the fresh air and being in nature. It seriously fills my tank and energises me.

Get outside. Move your body. Clear your head. Soak up the sunshine.

Happy Saturday! šŸ¤

There are decisions in life where we quietly leave ourselves an escape hatch.

I’ll give it a go.
I’ll see how I feel.
I’ll see if it works.
I’ll do it while it’s convenient.

And then there are committed decisions.

The kind where you’ve settled the question of whether you’re going to do something - and you can finally put your energy into how you’re going to make it happen.

It might be deciding to get fit.
To finally finish the qualification.
To have the conversation you’ve been avoiding.
To change something in your life that you’ve talked about changing for years.

The decision itself might take five minutes.

The commitment is what you do on all the ordinary days that follow.

That distinction has been on my mind because it’s something I’ve experienced building my online business.

I made the decision.

The commitment has been learning things I’d never done before, getting things wrong, adjusting the strategy, developing new skills and continuing to show up.

Not because every step has been easy.

But because once I made the decision, I stopped continually putting the decision itself back on the table.

There’s something powerful about taking ā€œWill I?ā€ out of the equation.

It leaves you with a much better question:

ā€œHow will I?ā€

What’s something in your life that might need a committed decision?
