Istituto Iseo is a non profit cultural institution aimed at promoting the discussion on global economy issues around the world. Upon Franco's death, Prof. P.S.

I.S.E.O Institute (Institute for Studies on Economics and Employment) is a non profit association based in the lovely town of Iseo (Northern Italy) and founded in 1998 by Nobel Laureate in Economics Franco Modigliani. Robert Solow (Nobel Laureate in Economics 1987) accepted with great enthusiasm to chair the Institute Modigliani founded and therefore to carry on his work. The main goal of the association is that of promoting the analysis and the discussion about the world economy, focusing the interest on topics which are also connected to social aspects such as development, growth and employment issues. The main activity of the Institute consists of promoting international conferences based on the most topical issues related to global economy. Furthermore, I.S.E.O Institute became wellknown in the worldwide academic scenario thanks to its international Summer School: this summer course, whose firts edition took place in Iseo in 2004, takes place every year in June and features Nobel Laureates in Economics as lecturers. Since its foundation, I.S.E.O Institute featured more than 30 Nobel Prizes during conferences, meetings and Summer Schools. Iseo is: the name of the town, the name of the lake and the acronym which stands for Institute for Studies on Economics and Employment.

Fondazione I.S.E.O. warmly congratulates Robert E. Hall and Michael Woodford, 2026 Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences, on this outstanding achievement.

We are particularly pleased to celebrate Robert E. Hall, who wrote his PhD thesis under the supervision of Robert Solow, former President of Fondazione I.S.E.O. and Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming both laureates to our future events.

The 22nd edition of the Staff Malt Meeting has come to an end after two full days of talks, discussions and activities in Iseo.

Alongside the scientific programme, participants had the opportunity to discover the town, share moments together and celebrate the Meeting at the farewell gala dinner at Cantina Antica Fratta.

Two days of research, exchange and new connections.

And that’s a wrap!

The 3rd edition of the NanoChemistry Camp has come to an end, bringing together a remarkable community of young researchers and leading scientists from across the world.
From lectures and scientific exchanges to poster pitches, outdoor activities and shared moments by Lake Iseo, the Camp offered a unique opportunity to learn, connect and explore the many dimensions of nanochemistry in an informal and inspiring setting.

We are deeply grateful to Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Timothy Craggs, Silvia Giordani, Barbara Hissa, Oldamur Hollóczki, Aitor Mugarza Ezpeleta, Gianfranco Pacchioni, and María Sancho Albero for joining us and sharing their expertise, research and perspectives with our participants.
A special thank you to all the young researchers who took part in the Camp and contributed with their research, questions and ideas. Their enthusiasm and scientific curiosity were at the heart of this experience.
Our gratitude also goes to Prof. Paolo Bergese, Scientific Director of the Camp, and to the entire Scientific Board. We would like to thank the Università degli Studi di Brescia and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Brescia for joining the I.S.E.O. Institute in this initiative.

Una lunga scia di applausi ha chiuso ieri sera la lezione pubblica tenuta dalla professoressa Stefania Federici (Università degli Studi di Brescia).
Il tema delle microplastiche e della loro invasione silenziosa ha tenuto inchiodato il pubblico: la professoressa Federici ha offerto dati precisi, certezze scientifiche e preziosi spunti di riflessione, ribadendo l'importanza di accettare che la scienza sta ancora attivamente lavorando per dare risposte definitive a questa sfida complessa.

Grazie all'Università degli Studi di Brescia e all'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore per aver organizzato con noi, ancora una volta, un'iniziativa di enorme valore, e grazie a Berlucchi per la meravigliosa ospitalità.
